    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of inhibiting reduction in the survival rate of stem cells in a suspension when the stem cells are transplanted.SOLUTION: When an inhibitor of reduction of the cell survival rate for mammalian stem cell transplantation, containing trehalose as an active ingredient, is added to a mammalian stem cell suspension, reduction in the survival rate of mammalian stem cells can be inhibited. The trehalose concentration in the mammalian stem cell suspension is usually ≥4.53 mg/mL, preferably ≥15.1 mg/mL. The higher the trehalose concentration, the higher the inhibiting effect on reduction in the survival rate. When the trehalose concentration is too high, on the contrary, there is possibility that the trehalose concentration has an adverse effect on the survival rate of the stem cells. Consequently, from the viewpoint of avoiding the adverse effect, the trehalose concentration in the suspension is usually ≤362.4 mg/mL, preferably ≤181.2 mg/mL. Consequently, the trehalose concentration in the suspension is usually 4.53-362.4 mg/mL, preferably 15.1-181.2 mg/mL.
