    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe cutting apparatus capable of quickly performing work without sparing time for preparation of installation and the like of a guide rail because it is not used, requiring little power only because turning power of a cutter is not reduced, capable of achieving traveling of the cutter within a plane perpendicular to the pipe axis and simultaneously performing highly accurate cutting work and grooving work.
      SOLUTION: The pipe cutting apparatus is constructed of a cutter 30 turning along an outer peripheral face of a pipe 40 and endless chains 3, 3a running over the pipe 40 and the cutter 30, wherein the cutter 30 comprises a dolly 1, a turning drive means and a disk-shape blade 2 mounted on the dolly 1, and a tightening means 16 for the endless chains 3, 3a, the chain tightening means 16 acts so as to maintain the tightened condition where the endless chains 3, 3a do not relatively move against the pipe 40, and the cutter 30 is movable between the outer peripheral face of the pipe 40 and inside of the endless chains 3, 3a by rotation of a chain wheel 7 of the turning drive means engaging with the endless chains 3, 3a.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter of a pipe cutting machine capable of adjusting a space between a cutting edge and a groove cutting edge and coping with cuttings of a plurality of kinds of pipes and groove cutting simultaneous machining.
      SOLUTION: This cutter is installed on the outer peripheral surface of the pipe to be cut via a chain with a roller to perform cutting operation and groove cutting operation, while advancing along the outer peripheral surface of the pipe. The cutter is constituted of a cutter holder 1 mounted to a rotary driving shaft 8, an auxiliary spacer 2 assembled to the cutter holder 1, the groove cutting edge 3, a main spacer 4, the cutting edge 5, a pressing cover 6 and a fastening nut 9 for fixing the cutter holder 1 to the rotary driving shaft 8. Assembling positions of the auxiliary spacer 2 and the groove cutting edge 3 can be exchanged.

      SOLUTION: In a pipe joint, a spigot 4 formed at end of one pipe 2 is inserted into a socket 3 which is formed at end of the other pipe 1 and in which the diameter of the opening inside surface is reduced in a tapered shape toward the opening side. An annular seal material 8 is disposed between the inside surface of the socket 3 and the outside surface of the spigot 4, and accommodated from the socket depth side toward an opening 5 whose diameter is reduced in a tapered shape. By pressing the seal material 8 with a pressing member such as a split ring 9 and a push ring 10, water tight seal is executed. A block body 20 is interposed between the socket depth end side surface 18 of the pressing member and the socket depth end surface 7 so that the pressing member is pressed with a required pressing force toward the seal material 8 on the socket opening side.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize a motor-driven pressure resistance welding machine in which follow-up control of detected loading is accurately performed at high speed.
      SOLUTION: In a motor-driven pressure resistance welding machine, when a workpiece 8 is welded by being held between a pair of welding of the workpiece 8 is detected by a load detection member 42, with a controller 50 controlling the operation of an electric motor 41 and moving the movable electrode 24 so that the pressure load P becomes a target load PO.
