Starting positions of a button hole sewing and a button sewing are located at the seaming parts of the sewing machine. Then both sewing machines are started to run, and the first button sewing and button hole sewing are done. After they are completed, either sewing machines or clothes are moved back and forth by pitch L, and the second work is done. After this, in the same way, the button sewing and the button hole sewing are repeated along the lapping parts by pitch L. Thus, as the work is done on one process, the working hours can be reduced by half.

摘要： PURPOSE: To perform a prescribed sewing at a set interval to a cloth without damaging productivity by supporting a sewing machine movable along a table while fixing the table and moving it along the table a set amount by a feed control mechanism. CONSTITUTION: An air cylinder 13 is operated, a connection shaft 8 is clamped by a piston rod 14 and a slide plate 6 is connected so as to be moved integrally with a cloth feed arm 16. The position for forming a first buttonhole is matched with the oblong hole 18 of a cloth presser 17 and the direction for forming the buttonhole is matched so as to be along the slide plate 6. The cloth feed arm 16 is moved in the right direction accompanying the drive of the sewing machine 10 and thus, the slide plate 6 and a cloth pressing and cloth supporting plate 19 integrally connected with the cloth feed arm 16 are both moved to the right. While a series of the buttonholes are formed, the cloth W is held by a cloth clamp 25. Since the sewing machine main body is moved by a set amount each and sewing is performed, the buttonholes are successively formed at the set positions even for the cloth rich in expandability.
