    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for improving cold flow characteristics in a biodiesel composition derived from coconut palm.SOLUTION: (I) The biodiesel composition comprises ≤40 vol.% of a biodiesel oil derived from the coconut palm, and ≥60 vol.% of a fuel oil derived from petroleum. (II) The biodiesel composition contains ≤20 wt.% of a biodiesel oil derived from the coconut palm, and ≥80 wt.% of an alkyl ester of a 6-18C saturated or unsaturated fatty acid, wherein the alkyl ester is a methyl ester, an ethyl ester, an isopropyl ester, an n-butyl ester, a 2-butyl ester or an isobutyl ester, or a mixture thereof. (III) The biodiesel composition contains 0.1-1.0% (w/v) of a polyalkyl methacrylate additive, and a biodiesel oil mixture derived from the coconut palm comprising (i) ≤40 vol.% of a biodiesel oil derived from the coconut palm, and (ii) ≥60 vol.% of a fuel oil derived from the petroleum. In addition, (IV) the biodiesel composition contains 0.1-5.0% (w/v) of a polyalkyl methacrylate additive, and a biodiesel derived from the palm oil that has the unsaturation level of ≥60%.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving the cold flow characteristics of a biodiesel composition derived from coconut palm.SOLUTION: There are provided the following four biodiesel compositions: (I) including ≤40 vol% of biodiesel derived from coconut palm and ≥60 vol% of fuel oil derived from petroleum; (II) including ≤20 wt.% of the biodiesel and ≥80 wt.% of a 6-18C (un)saturated fatty acid alkyl ester or their mixture, wherein the alkyl ester is that of methyl, ethyl, isopropyl, n-butyl, 2-butyl, isobutyl or mixture thereof; (III) including 0.1-1.0% (w/v) of a polyalkyl methacrylate additive, and a biodiesel mixture containing (i) ≤40 vol% of the biodiesel and (ii) ≥60 vol% of the fuel oil derived from petroleum; and (IV) including 0.1-5.0% (w/v) of the polyalkyl methacrylate additive and the biodiesel having ≥60% of an unsaturated level.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous steaming apparatus of oil palm, which prevents corrosion deterioration of a conveyor chain, suppresses the squash of a bunch, has good thermal efficiency and is safe and convenient for maintenance.
      SOLUTION: The continuous steaming apparatus of oil palm comprises: two lines of conveyor chains 140 hung so as to be endlessly circulated between a pair of sprockets 120, 130 pivotally arranged in a case 110; an apron attached between the conveyor chains 140; and a high temperature steam spray means 160 which loads the bunch of oil palm onto a bottom plate of the apron, conveys the bunch in one direction from the upstream to downstream in the case and, at the same time, sprays high-temperature steam to the bunch of oil palm during conveyance, wherein the high temperature steam spray means 160 is arranged on a position of spraying the high-temperature steam from the top plate side of the case to the bottom plate, and barrier walls vertical to the bottom plate of the apron are extended to the neighborhood of the bottom plate of the apron from the neighborhood of the top plate of the case, inside both side plates of the apron.
