    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin discriminating device, with which a forged coin can be accurately discriminated. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a magnetic sensor 12 for generating the magnetic data of coins, a CCD area sensor 24 for generating optical data, a first coin discriminating means 61 composed of reference optical data memories 51 and 52 for storing the reference optical data of respective denominations and a reference magnetic data storage memory 50 for storing the reference magnetic data of respective denominations, and a second coin discriminating means 62 for reading the reference magnetic data of the correspondent side of the coin of a certain denomination out of the reference magnetic data memory according to whether reference optical data, which are used when the first coin discriminating means discriminates that coins can be accepted on the basis of the reference optical data of that denomination, are reference optical data of the obverse of the coin of that denomination or reference optical data of the back, comparing these data with the magnetic data of coins generated by the magnetic sensor and finally discriminating whether coins can be accepted or not and the denomination of the coins.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin receiving/paying machine capable of shortening the transaction processing time by making slim this machine in the width direction, and shortening the carriage path at the time of paying coins to be paid out. SOLUTION: This coin receiving/paying machine is provided with a denomination classifying and temporarily storing means 29 for selecting coins received by a money receiving part 16 for each denomination, and for temporarily storing the coins and coin housing and paying means 42a-42f for each denomination for receiving and housing the coins from the denomination selecting and temporarily storing means 29 for each denomination, and for paying out the instructed number of coins to a money paying port 39. In this case, the denomination classification housing and paying means 42a-42f for each classification are arranged so as to be vertically piled, and the coins from the denomination classifying and temporarily storing means 29 are housed from the back side of the front and back direction of a machine body 11, and the coins are paid out from the front side in the front and back direction of the machine body 11.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin receiving/dispensing machine with which the coins of various denominations can be effectively used as coins of an original denomination even when the coins of various denominations are stored. SOLUTION: This coin receiving/dispensing machine is provided with storing/ feeding parts 150a-150g more than the number of denominations to be handled just for one, all coins are fed out of one storing/feeding part among the storing/ feeding parts 150a-150g, these coins are identified by a dispensation identifying part 261, further conveyed by a back conveying means 154, stored in the empty storing/feeding part among the storing/feeding parts 150a-150g and counted on the basis of the identified result of the dispensation identifying part 261 and coins, which are identified as the coins of a denomination different from that of one storing/feeding part, are conveyed by the back conveying means 154 and stored in the storing/feeding part for that denomination of coins.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately discriminate whether a coin can be accepted or not and the denomination of the coin in simple circuit configuration by detecting the magnetic character of the coin. SOLUTION: This coin discriminating device is provided with a transmission coil 3 to be oscillated according to an oscillation voltage signal for generating an alternating field, a reception coil 4 for outputting an output voltage signal according to the change of the alternating field generated by the transmission coil 3, an adder 7 for adding the oscillation voltage signal and the output voltage signal and generating an added voltage signal, a DC converter 9 for converting the added voltage signal into a DC voltage and a CPU for discriminating whether the coin can be accepted or not and the denomination of the coin on the basis of the output voltage level of the added voltage signal converted into the DC voltage.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous detection due to a sensor and to prolong the life of a coin carrying means by permitting a carrier roller to be in a drawing state when carrying is restricted through the use of a carrier restricting member and permitting the carrier roller to be in a projecting state unless carrying is restricted. SOLUTION: When coins separately placed on a disk are independently fed to a coin passage 16 one by one by the centrifugal force of a rotary disk 13, they are counted while passing through a part between a roller 39 and an upper guide board 30 by the rotary force of a carrier roller 39 and, then, sent to a guide member 22. In this case, a restricting roller 37 is saved to a part upper than the guide board 30 and has no relation to coin carrying. When the last coil is fed, a control part reversely drives the rotary disk 13 while the rollers 37 and 39 are in a driving state as they are, lowers the support members of the rollers 37 and 39, permits the roller 39 to be in the drawing state and the roller 37 to be in the restricting state. Then the coins are not rubbed with the passage 16 or the carrier roller 39, metallic powder is prevented from being generated and, then, their lives are prolonged.
