摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 1.3 μm band light amplifier of a low cost, high gain and high efficiency. SOLUTION: To a light amplification fiber 10, Yb ions for being excited in 0.98 μm band and emitting light in 1.02 μm band, and Pr ions for being excited in 1.02 μm band and light-amplifying the signal light of 1.3 μm band, are added. Both ends of the light amplification fiber 10 are respectively connected to optical fiber gratings 20 and 22 for selectively reflecting the 1.02 μm band through matching connection members 12 and 14, and tapered core optical fibers 16 and 18 and the optical fiber gratings 20 and 22 form the resonator of the 1.02 μm band. A wavelength division multiplex(WDM) photocoupler 24 multiplexes excitation light from an excitation laser 26 to signal light to be light amplified and supplies it to the optical fiber grating 20. The excitation laser 26 is composed of a laser device for performing laser oscillation at 0.98 μm.

An internet signal assembly part constitutes a response signal to be transmitted to a gate keeper 17 and the gate keeper 17, which receives the response signal, retrieves an address table based on the transfer destination terminal number and reports an address according to a protocol to an information terminal C1, which originates a call, by acquiring the address of a gateway. A service data base device 13 of the IN facility can be connected while having an address AINDB on the internet network as well.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize an intensity modulation signal and a phase modulation signal with simple constitution and low loss and to enable the formation of the driving signal of an optical modulator by branching the light carrier from a light source, optically modulating the branched light carriers with plural synthesis signals, joining the modulated light carriers and outputting the optical modulation signal. SOLUTION: A 180 deg. hybrid 16 which is a two-input two-output passive circuit branches the inputted intensity modulation signal to a first electric signal of an in-phase and a second electric signal of an antiphase and branches the phase modulation signal inputted to another input terminal to third and fourth electric signals of the in-phase. The synthesis signal of the first and fourth electric signals and the synthesis signals of the second and third electric signals are outputted. The optical modulator 1 of a two-electrode LN-MZ type branches the light carrier from the light source 15 outputting the light of specified intensity and optically modulates the branched two light carriers by the two synthesis signals from the 180 deg. hybrid 16, joins the modulated two light carriers and outputs the optical modulation signal.

Then the video coding rate Rc and a network transmission rate Rt obtained from a network IF section 13 are compared and when the network transmission rate Rt is smaller than the video coding rate Rc and is resident in a range smaller than the video coding rate Rc by a prescribed amount or over, the data are corrected so that the video coding rate Rc is less than the network transmission rate Rt and the video coding rate Rc is increased.

SOLUTION: When a call is generated, the priority (k) and type (j) of the call are decided by a priority/type decision function. Then an average cell occurrence rate R of contact parameters which are common to the call is decided together with the cell loss rate target value Q of the call, the call number N and the cell loss rate target value PQ. The average cell speed S of using priority class buffers is calculated by an average cell speed calculation function. Then it is decided whether the call can be stored in a band while the loop processing is carried out for the priority (k) and other lower priorities. In the loop processing mode, the cell loss target value PB, a request band (a) and a necessary band C are calculated. Finally, a connection rejection message is transmitted if a transmission line band Cp is smaller than the band C. If the band CP is larger than the band C, it is decided that the calls can be stored at all lower priorities. Thus, the processing is over and the reservation of bands are carried out by a band allocation function.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber transmission line where both a nonlinear action and a wavelength scattering slope are reduced by employing pluralities of kinds of optical fibers whose effective cross sectional area differs, using the optical fibers with a large effective cross sectional area when a signal light is strong and using the optical fibers with a small effective cross sectional area when a signal light is weak. SOLUTION: Two kinds of optical fibers 18, 20 with different effective cross sectional areas Aeff are used for optical transmission lines 14, 16 and an optical relay amplifier 22 amplifies and relays optical signals transmitted through them. The optical relay amplifier 22 is provided with an incoming optical amplifier 24 and an outgoing optical amplifier 26. The optical fiber 18 with the large effective cross sectional area Aeff is connected to outputs of the optical amplifiers 24, 26, the optical fiber 20 with the small effective cross sectional area Aeff is connected to inputs of the optical amplifiers 24, 26. The scattering slope is reduced by combining pluralities of kinds of the optical fibers with the different effective cross sectional areas Aeff as above while reducing the nonlinear action as a whole.

In this case, a reception signal at a time and reception signals by preceding several times to the time are received by the neural network 1, a correction amount of the weight and the offset of each neuron model is obtained based thereon, and learning is conducted by reflecting the preceding weight and offset in the case of updating them.

SOLUTION: Outputs from respective antenna elements are sampled at prescribed sampling speed, converted to digital signals by an analog/digital(A/D) converter 2 and separated to orthogonal components by a complex signal converting part 3 later so that a complex signal can be constituted. Correspondent weight coefficients are multiplied to respective signals by weight coefficient multipliers 4-1 to 4-m, spatial FFT is performed by a spatial FFT calculating part 5, and orthogonal multibeams are outputted. Out of these orthogonal beam outputs, the maximum beam output is selected by a maximum output beam selecting part 6, and the respective beam outputs and the maximum output beam selection information are outputted.
