    • PURPOSE:To produce a rich timbre by a few fundamental acoustic waves by using a character-string in which two symbols are arrayed periodically and aperiodically and continued infinitely as a rhythm. CONSTITUTION:This musical instrument is constituted so that a favorite timbre, interval, sound volume, and sound durating time can be set to respective symbols A, B of a character-string, and functions as a rhythm machine. By setting variously a value of a constant (a), it is possible to make out freely extending from a periodical rhythm to an aperiodical rhythm. For instance, when (a) is set as an integer 1, a rhythm of simple duple time continued periodically as ABABAB... is made out. Also, for instance, when (a) is set as a rational number of a non-integer such as 5/3, a periodical rhythm for repeating ABBABBAB is made out. These rhythms can be made out simultaneously by plural kinds, and by synchronizing each rhythm or shifting them intentionally, a figure of the rhythm is generated.

    • PURPOSE:To play a chord with a golden ratio in an optional sound range and obtain a unique scale which is rich in variation by tuning the musical instrument at only the golden ratio. CONSTITUTION:Only an irrational quantity which is the golden ratio is used and the scale is set according to a certain rule. Namely, a sound of adequate frequency is regarded as a reference sound and denoted as F0, and (n) is set to integers 0, 1, 2, 3...; and the golden ratio (1+5 )/2 is set to G and a sound of frequency obtained by multiplying F0 by G is set to Fn. Namely, F0=F0XG , F1=F0XG , F2=F0XG , F3=F0XG , and so on are obtained, and a scale wherein sounds of respective frequencies are arranged in the increasing order is regarded as a scale of 1st division. The scale which is thus determined can all be redescribed at a ratio where one sound is set to 1 and when this is regarded as a male scale represented with the ratio, a female scale having and reciprocals of respective values is also present. Then, a proper stage and sex are selected among classifications of the male and female and respective divisional scales and an optional source 15 tuned according to the frequency of the determined scale to obtain the musical instrument.
