    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive damping type main stage valve which can control the rigidity of a shock absorber by fluid-connecting an external valve with the shock absorber.
      SOLUTION: Components of a vehicle suspension includes the shock absorber movable between a rebound position and a compression position, and the external valve fluid-connected with the shock absorber so as to control the rigidity of the shock absorber. The external valve has a valve housing, a piston stored inside the valve housing, and a blow-off ring movable relative to the piston between an initial position and a blow-off positions to the piston. At least one deflection disk has a preload for urging a blow-off ring to the initial position, and the blow-off ring can move to the blow-off position when fluid pressure exceeds the preload.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide damper operation for controlling an active roll in a vehicle. SOLUTION: A roll control system including a first damper and a second damper having fluid, respectively, is provided. A pump connects the first and second dampers mutually to let the fluid flow between them. A motor is connected with the pump and is linked to a control device, which is constituted to give orders to the motor, drive the pump, and let the fluid flow in the desired direction by responding to a roll signal between a first actuator and a second actuator. The pump supplies the fluid from either of the first and second dampers to the other of them by responding to the driving by the motor. This roll control system can be used for a front axle and a rear axle to improve the stability of the whole vehicle.
