    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent each light emitting element from being embedded in a shade of leaves of trees or directed in an undesired direction at the time of mounting a linelike light emitting unit having a plurality of the elements arranged at an electric wire at the tree. SOLUTION: A first connector 11 is provided at one end, a second connector is provided at the other end, and a light emitting element mount 13 is provided at an intermediate part. A plurality of linelike light emitting units 1 and the connectors 10 are prepared. Light emitting elements 6 of the units 1 are mounted at the mounts 13 of the connectors 10. The connectors 11 and second connectors 12 of the connectors 10 are connected, a plurality of the connectors 10 are connected. Thus, the units 1 can be connected to form a netlike state together with the connectors 10. In this manner, at the time of mounting at the tree, the elements 6 are prevented from being embedded in a shade of the leaves of the tree or directed in an undesired direction.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce weight with a simple structure, and also to reduce cost by providing a linear shape-memory alloy which is connected to a turning member in the neighborhood of the connecting part of a linear movement member and the turning member, and which is extended from the above neighborhood to the fulcrum side, on the side of the straight line connecting the connecting part with the fulcrum. CONSTITUTION:When a shape-memory alloy 19 is in room temperature condition, a turning member 5 is turned by the elasticity of an energizing part 5a to the position shown in the figure, and the alloy 19 is in such a condition that it is subjected to extensional deformation longer than the memorized length, and a linear movement member 3 is also moved in the position shown in the figure. When a switch means 22 is turned ON to pass a current to the alloy 19 for heating this, the alloy 19 contracts due to the shape-memory effect to return to the memorized length, and the member 5 is turned in the clockwise direction against the elasticity of the energizing part 5a, hence, the member 3 also moves linearly in the corresponding direction. When the heating of the alloy 19 is stopped to cool it down, the member 5 is again turned to the standby position by the energizing force of the energizing part 5a, so that the alloy 19 is subjected to extensional deformation.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify and miniaturize a structure by operating a self-timer via a hooking member and a hooked member with a shape memory alloy as an actuator, and returning the shape alloy by excitation after a preset time elapses. CONSTITUTION:A shape memory alloy 8 is deformed against the elastic force of a hooking spring 7, and a self-timer operating member 12 is operated by a movable contact 9 via a hooking member 6 and a hooked member 3. Excitation is performed by the contact 9 and a fixed contact 11, on/off operations of a transistor are controlled via a capacitor, the alloy 8 is excited after the preset time elapses, the alloy 8 is returned to the original shape, the hooking of the member 3 by the hooking member 6 rotated by the exciting force of the spring 7 is released, a shutter is operated during this time, and a self-timer action is performed. The shape alloy is used as an actuator instead of an electromagnet or a spring, thus a simple, small-sized and economical timer device with little power consumption is obtained.

When the space is enlarged to the fixed value or more, the current ceases to flow between the electrodes 1, 2 and to the alloy 5, so that the alloy 5 is cooled to lose shape recovery force, and the space is reduced by the energizing means 6. With the repetition of this action, the space is adjusted autonomously and precisely.
