    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-liquid contact apparatus in which the channeling of a liquid is prevented in a moving-bed column to attain efficient gas-liquid contact and which is made to have a simple constitution and mass-produced. SOLUTION: The gas-liquid contact apparatus has the moving-bed column 30 which is arranged between a liquid distribution column 20 arranged in the upper part of this apparatus and a liquid collection column 40 arranged in the lower part of this apparatus and in which a regular packing material 31 is housed to form many flow passages. A mass transfer, a heat exchange or mixing is performed in the moving-bed column 30 between the liquid to be supplied from the liquid distribution column 20 and the gas to be supplied from the liquid collection column 40. The regular packing material 31 is composed of a plurality of filiform packing material constituents 31a arranged in parallel in mutually non-contact states. The filiform packing material constituent 31a is twisted from a plurality of linear materials and the surface of the filiform packing material constituent is coated with a hydrophilic agent.       SOLUTION: When the metal outer pipe and the FRP inner pipe are molded by heat and under pressure, a fiber-reinforced resin whose ratio of compression strength to compression modulus in the pipe axial direction can meet a specified relationship, is sandwiched between both outer/inner pipes as a buffer layer. Consequently, the compression load of the outer pipe by heat shrinkage in the pipe axial direction, is absorbed by the compression and shear deformation of the buffer layer. Besides, in the pipe axial direction of the composite pipe, the value (Rc2) of the compression strength/compression modulus of a second fiber-reinforced resin is higher than the value (Rc1) of the compression strength/compression modulus of a first fiber-reinforced resin.
