    • PURPOSE:To control a photodetection signal level according to a light emission signal level by providing a pin member which moves freely to and away from the intersection of the optical axis of a light emitting element and the optical axis of a light receiving element. CONSTITUTION:A smoke sensor 1 is constituted by arranging a light-source side optical system 18 which has the light emitting element 7 at the bottom part of a 1st long hole 5 and a light-reception side optical system 19 which has the light receiving element 8 at the bottom part of a 2nd long hole 6 so that the optical axis of the light emitting element 7 and the optical axis of the light receiving element 8 cross each other outside the 1st and 2nd long holes 5 and 6. further, the pin member 20 is provided to a smoke sensor main body 2 so that it moves freely to and away from the intersection of both optical paths. The quantity of light emission is varied by diffraction or reflection by this pin member 20 to vary the quantity of light reception. Consequently, the light emission signal level of the light emitting element 7 is controlled to control the light reception level of the light receiving element 8.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to efficiently perform the operation test of a fire alarm apparatus arranged in a hotel or hospital having a large number of protective partitioned compartments without mistaking all of fire alarm systems, by constituting the titled apparatus so that each fire alarm system is automatically and successively scanned to perform the operation test. CONSTITUTION:A scanning circuit part 2 is formed of a counter part 2a converting the clock of an oscillation circuit part 1, that is, the serial data thereof to parallel data and a decoder part 2b decoding the parallel data to turn only predetermined output ON. The output of the decoder part 2b is successively turned ON to generate a scan signal (C, D...) coming to the start signal of a start circuit part 3 and start circuits 3a-3n are operated to output dummy fire signals H-N to fire system receivers 6a-6n. A control part 7 successively scans each fire system and stops the scanning circuit part 2 when there is no answer back signal within a predetermined time. At this time, the output of the decoder part 2b is held to an data ON state as it is and reset by a return switch SW 4.
