摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a document size detecting device, which can accurately discriminate and detect an end edge of a document, even in an environment where disturbing light exerts influence. SOLUTION: While a light source 15 is turned off and a light source 15 is turned on, a document 12 mounted on a document mount table 11 is read by an image pickup element by the time when a document mat 13 is completely closed after a document mat opening/closing switch 14 is turned on. The effects of the disturbing light are removed by calculating the differences between both pieces of read image data and an end edge 12a of the document 12 on the side of a horizontal scanning direction P1 is discriminated according to the processed image data. Furthermore, an end edge 12b of the document 12 on the side of the vertical scanning direction P2 is discriminated with the detection signals from a 1st reflection type sensor 17 and a 2nd reflection type sensor 18. Thus, the size of the document 12 is detected according to the discrimination of both the edges 12a and 12b of the document.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner for electrophotographic publishing and printing which can be used for the publishing and printing process using electrophotography so as to produce a print which hardly causes eyestrain of a reader, by using particles having dispersion of a coloring agent in a binder resin, controlling the lightness of a solid image to a specified range, and controlling plural hues to each specified range. SOLUTION: The lightness L in a solid image is controlled to 20 to 40, and the hue a and hue b are controlled to -1.5 to 0.5 and 1.5 to 6.5, respectively. By controlling the lightness L and hues a, b of the toner to the ranges above described, eyestrain of a reader can be suppressed. To further suppress eyestrain, the brightness L, hue a and hue b are preferably controlled to 25 to 35, -1.0 to 0.0 and 2.0 to 6.0, respectively. Thereby, compared to a print by conventional toner having the lightness ranging from 10 to 20, the obtd. toner realizes 20 to 40 lightness, which decreases eyestrain of a reader.

By this pin 2b being led into the spiral groove 1b through the guide groove 1a, the flange 2 is attached to the photoreceptor drum 1, and fixed therein.

SOLUTION: When an aging signal is given from an adjustment signal input part 10, that is, when the potential of a photoreceptor drum must be adjusted because toner is supplied or image forming for specified number of sheets is performed, the aging signal is given from the input part 10. When the input of the aging signal is detected, a control circuit 8 starts a timer 11 so as to execute specified aging processing. When the timer 11 counts two minutes, for example, the control circuit 8 lowers the temperature of the heater 4 from 195 deg.C, which is controlled till then, to 175 deg.C. Then, the completion of aging is awaited while keeping the temperature of the heater 4 175 deg.C. When the aging is completed, the temperature of the heater 4 is raised from 175 deg.C to 195 deg.C again.

Accordingly, excellent images can be obtained even in the case when the images are formed simultaneously on a plurality of lines.
