    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closure screen unit for closing a tissue portion separation such as an incision and a wound, and an attaching system and method.SOLUTION: The medical closure screen unit 2 for first and second tissue portions includes a mesh screen 14 composed of: tubular vertical risers 26; vertical strands 30 with barbed fibers; and horizontal spacers 28 connecting the risers 26 and strands 30 in a grid-like configuration. An optional perimeter member 16 partly surrounds the screen and can have a perimeter tube 35 which is fluid-coupled to the vertical risers 26 to form a tube assembly. Various input/out units can be optionally connected to the end of the perimeter tube 35 to carry out discharge of a fluid from the tissue portion separation by means of an exhaust tube and introduction of the fluid into the tube assembly by means of irrigation.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method and device for a reduced pressure treatment system operable to determine when a reservoir-full/blockage condition exists.SOLUTION: A reduced pressure system 200 for delivering a reduced pressure to a desired site for a medical purpose and receiving fluids includes a reservoir 224 having an interior space 230 that holds the fluid, a reduced pressure delivery conduit 222 is disposed in fluid communication with the interior space in order to deliver the reduced pressure to the desired site, a source conduit 236 and a pressure sensor conduit 242 are disposed in the fluid communication with the interior space, a pressure sensor 246 is disposed in the fluid communication with the pressure sensor conduit, and a reduced pressure source 248 is disposed in the fluid communication with the source conduit. A reduced pressure control unit 260 is associated with the pressure sensor and the reduced pressure source, and is operable to receive pressure data from the pressure sensor and supply data from the reduced pressure source and determine when the reservoir is in a full/blockage condition.
