    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive versatile drilling rig with a simple structure hardly generating a noise in spite of using a hammering by hammer and usable not only for excavation (drilling) but also for geological investigation or penetration test. SOLUTION: This rig comprises a slide case slidably provided on a leader; a driving means for reciprocating the slide case along the leader; a weight hammer slidably provided on a guide rod vertically fixed within the slide case; a lift for lifting up and falling the weight hammer; a hammer sub provided on the falling line of the weight hammer and stroke by the falling of the weight hammer; and a motor for rotating the hammer sub through a transmission mechanism. An excavation rod is connected to the hammer sub. A striking force is transmitted to the excavation rod by the striking of the hammer sub by the falling of the weight hammer, and a rotating force is transmitted by the rotation of the hammer sub by the drive of the motor.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a completely automatic penetration test device capable of completely automating operation of pulling up and free dropping of a hammer, count of the number of hits, measurement of the amount of penetration of a sampler for a standard penetration test and calculation of N value. SOLUTION: A completely automatic penetration test device is constituted of a boring rod 3 mounting a sampler thereto, a hammer 4 suspended with a string-like body 5 for driving the sampler in the ground, a hammer rising device 8 rewinding the string-like body 5 on a winding drum to raise the hammer 4 to a specific height, a hammer rising length detection device for detecting the rising length of the hammer 4 and a hammer dropping device for driving the boring rod 3 in the ground by freely dropping the hammer when a specific rising length is detected by the hammer rising length detection device. It is also equipped with a penetration quantity detection device for detecting the amount of penetration of the sampler by the driving, a repeating control device 12 for repeating the rising and free dropping of the hammer until the detected amount of penetration reaches a specific amount, a recording device for recording the number of repetitions, an indication device for indicating the measurement data, an output device for preserving the measurement data and an input device for a key board, an emergency stop switch, etc.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary percussion drill which is good in hammering efficiency, and includes a drill head device and component parts thereof which are hardly broken. SOLUTION: There is provided a rotary percussion drill which is constructed by slidably arranging a slide table on a leader erected from a base machine, providing an advance feeding device on the slide table to be frontward and rearward moved, fixing a penetrated type drill head to the slide table, and disposing a chuck mechanism 7, a motor 8, and a hammering device 15 on the drill head, whereby a drill rod gripped by the chuck mechanism is rotated, advanced, and driven. In the thus constructed rotary percussion drill, the chuck mechanism has a chuck piece arranged on a spindle 9 which is connected to the motor via a gearing mechanism for rotation, and the chuck piece grips the periphery of the drill rod 1. The hammering device is disposed such that a hollow piston 11 of a hollow percussion cylinder 10 hammers the chuck piece gripping the drill rod along the internal peripheral surface of the spindle, in an axial direction.
