    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental floss holder capable of adjusting the tension of dental floss.
      SOLUTION: A dental floss holder 10 includes a pair of arms 12 and 14, each arm having a middle portion 20 or 26, a first opposite end portion 22 or 28 and a second opposite end portion 24 or 30. The first end portion 22 or 28 of each arm curves outwardly away from its middle portion 20 or 26. The middle portions 20 and 26 are positioned proximate one another so as to define a pivot. Those second end portions 24 and 30 are movable between a first position in which the first end portions 22 and 28 are away from one another, and a second position in which the first end portions 22, 28 are moved toward one another. A dental floss material 18 has one end connected to the first end portion 22 of one arm 12 and the other opposite end connected to the first end portion 28 of the other arm 14. The dental floss material has a first tension when the first end portions 22, 28 are in their spaced apart position and a second tension when the first end portions 22, 28 are moved toward one another the first tension being larger than the second tension.
