The head 11 records/ reproduces a color difference signal SC subject to line sequential processing. The head 12 records/reproduces the luminance signal SY. At first, the head 11 records the color difference signal SC onto the floppy disk 13. Then the head 12 records the luminance signal SY on the same track as that recorded with the color difference signal SC on the floppy disk. The color difference signal is recorded up to a deep layer of the floppy disk 13 and the luminance signal SY is recorded to a shallow layer.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a variable speed reproduction picture that can be discriminated even with the segment recording by converting the video signals in a single field into a recording signal of N segments to insert the segment index signals having different segment forms for each segment within the horizontal blanking period of said recording signal and controlling a memory by an index signal in a variable speed reproduction mode for synthesization of video signals. CONSTITUTION:The luminance and color signals undergone the time base compression as well as the horizontal synchronizing signal, the burst signal and the segment index signal produced by a synchronizing signal/index signal generating circuit 23 are multiplexed in time division at the next stage and are inputted to segment processing circuit 25. The circuit 25 consists of a delay circuit and a segment synchronizing signal inserting circuit together with a blanking part formed between segments respectively. The blanking synchronizing signal is inserted to the blanking part and the recording signal is outputted. In a variable speed reproduction mode an index detecting circuit 33 detects said segment index signal and outputs the segment identifying signal to a write control circuit 34. The circuit 34 controls the write of a field memory of a TBC/time base expansion/segment adverse processing circuit 35 based on the segment identifying signal, the segment position detected from the segment synchronizing signal and an address within H.

    • PURPOSE:To execute a synchronous separation, by frequency-multiplexing the FM signal of an video signal and the pilot signal including the information of an synchronizing signal, recording the result in a video disc, detecting the information of the time base shift, and using a pilot signal. CONSTITUTION:A reproduced signal from the video disc is inputted from a terminal F. A pilot signal eliminating circuit 17 eliminates the pilot signal from the reproduced signal, and an FM demodulator 19 reproduces the video signal. Meanwhile, as to the time-base-shift correction, the pilot-signal component only is taken out from the reproduced signal by a band-pass-filter (BPF) 26. Since the pilot signal is amplitude-modulated by a composite synchronizing signal, the composite synchronizing signal is detected by an envelope detection circuit 27 and a waveform shaping circuit 28. Using the detected composite synchronizing signal, a pilot-signal phase-detecting circuit 32 detects the phase of the pilot signal outputted from the BPF 26 to obtain the information of the time-base-shift. The said information is transmitted to a tangential actuator 34 through a loop file 33 to constitute a time-base-correction loop.

    • PURPOSE:To attain the recording of video signal with high resolution and excellent color reproducibility by offsetting the subcarrier frequency of the color difference signals provided adjacently to tracks by 1/2 of the horizontal scanning frequency which is adjacent with each other at every n-pieces of the adjacent recording tracks. CONSTITUTION:The inputted luminance signal Y is divided by a multiplexer 2 into signals of two channels which dot-interlace, and supplied respectively to filters 3 and 4. Unnecessary signals are removed by the filters 3 a 4 from the said signals, and they thereafter are modulated by FM modulator circuits 5 and 6 and added to adders a1 and a2. Meanwhile, color difference components B-Y and R-Y are supplied to multipliers M1 and M2, and are multiplied by f3 and f2 where ¦f2-f3¦=fH/2. The resulting signals, after being subjected to a band limitation by LPFs 7 and 8, are supplied to the adders a1 and a2 as being made not overlap in the band of the luminance signals. The color difference components and the luminance signals Y1 and Y2 are added with each other, and supplied to heads A1 and B1, and A2 and B2.
