    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a transmission frame within a predetermined time without affecting communication of an Ethernet transmission station by specifying part of transmission stations as a synchronous transmission station that periodically transmits start timing of an implicit token path. SOLUTION: Real time Ethernet transmission stations RETH 101, 102,..., 10K, 111, 121, 131, 141, 11n-14n of the data transmission system and general Ethernet transmission stations ETH 20m,..., 20n, 210, 211-21n, 231-23n are interconnected by a transmission line L. Then a specific transmission station in the data transmission system is specified as a synchronous transmission station that periodically transmits the start timing of an implicit token path. Especially in the case that the synchronous transmission station is not yet decided at a leading point of time of the data transmission system, a new synchronous transmission station is specified among the transmission stations of the data transmission system.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send video, aural and control signals among a plurality of devices through a couple of twisted pair wires by applying digital compression or expansion to aural and video signals in the case of a speech, applying time-division multiplex or demultiplex to a plurality of signals, applying spread spectrum modulation to the signals, limiting the frequency band of the signals subjected to spread modulation, applying inverse spread processing to the signals so as to demodulate the signals. SOLUTION: An aural signal received from a microphone 21 is compressed by a voice compression expansion section 23 and outputted to a protocol control section 28 and a video signal received from a camera 22 is compressed by a video compression expansion section 26 and outputted to the protocol control section 28. A control signal outputted from a control section 27 is given to the protocol control section 28. The compressed signals are subjected to time- division multiplex processing and the result is fed to a spread spectrum section 29. The spread spectrum section 29 sends a multiplexed signal to a couple of twisted pair wires (a) via a band pass filter 30.
