    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase adjustment circuit that automatically corrects a change in a phase shift due to variations in elements and an ambient temperature even when receiving in input signal which is an NRZ code data signal so as to keep the phase shift of a variable voltage phase shifter at 90 degrees at all times. SOLUTION: The phase adjustment circuit is provided with the two variable voltage phase shifters 4, 5 that shift the phase of the input signal, a delay circuit 8 that delays the signal whose phase is shifted by the variable voltage phase shifters 4, 5, a D flip-flop 7 that identifies the signal whose phase is shifted by the variable voltage phase shifters through the comparison with the input signal, a delay circuit 9 that delays a signal denoting the identification result of the D flip-flop 7, a D flip-flop 10 that identifies an output signal from the delay circuit 9 by using an output signal from the delay circuit 8, and a low-pass filter 11 that smoothes a signal denoting the identification result of the D flip-flop 10. The phase adjustment circuit generates a DC voltage depending on only on the phase shift by the variable voltage phase shifters independently of a data pattern of the input signal and uses the DC voltage for respective phase shift control signals of the two variable voltage phase shifters 4, 5 as a feedback in a way of keeping the phase shifts of the variable voltage phase shifters 4, 5 at 90 degrees resulting that the phase shifts by the two variable voltage phase shifters 4, 5 can always be kept at 90 degrees.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a signal distribution phase shifter with high general-purpose and high performance in which an output signal with a phase difference of, e.g., 45 deg., 60 deg. to an input signal other than 90 deg. is obtained. SOLUTION: The signal distribution phase shifter of the receiver is formed by integrating a 1st band pass filter circuit 21 consisting of a plurality of elements and a 2nd band-pass filter circuit 22 where the connection configuration of each component is equal to that of the 1st band-pass filter circuit 21 and the value of each component (constant) differs from that of the 1st band-pass filter circuit 21 on an IC chip. Since a relative error between components is small by forming the components whose circuit structure is the same on the IC chip, the frequency characteristic of the circuit 21 is expressed in parallel displacement of that of the circuit 22 in the entire IC chip, then the receiver with a small error in the frequency characteristic is obtained.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily realize a monolithic microwave chip by providing the active orthogonal power distributor with an input impedance matching circuit, an FET to be turned on/off in accordance with the state of an output signal from the input impedance matching circuit, an output impedance matching circuit for outputting the output signal, and a reactive potential divider. SOLUTION: The output impedance matching circuit is a pi section type consisting of an inducator L3 and capacitors C2, C3 to an output terminal 1. The inductor L3 acts in parallel with an output terminal 2, an inductor L2 acts in series and the capacitors C2, C3 mutually connected in series act in parallel. A direct current(DC) is supplied from a power supply Vdd to an FET Q1 through the inductors L3, L2, a capacitor C5 is a by-pass capacitor and the inductor L3 is grounded like AC. Although the distributor has the same structure as a microwave amplifier, the distributor is also provided with two output terminal and the 90 deg. phase difference of output signals as compared with a conventional distributer.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the chip size of a phase shifter which converts the input signals into the 1st and 2nd differential signals and outputs them after shifting their phases by specific angles, and to reduce the current consumption of the phase shifter. SOLUTION: A 90 deg.-phase shifter consists of a differential amplifier 1 which outputs the 1st and 2nd pairs of differential signals, an LPF 2 which outputs one of both differential signals of the 1st pair after shifting its phase by -45 deg., an LPF 5 which outputs the other differential signal of the 1st pair after shifting its phase by -45 deg., a phase shifter 8 which outputs one of both differential signals of the 2nd pair after shifting its phase by +45 deg., a phase shifter 11 which outputs the other differential signal of the 2nd pair after shifting its phase by +45 deg., and the differential amplifiers 14 and 15 which correspond to the input of the differential signals of the 1st and 2nd pairs respectively.
