    • PURPOSE:To eliminate monitor performed by a maintainer and at the same time to give the close monitor to the stability of electric descharge, by counting the shifting frequency from the glow discharge to the arc discharge to obtain a detection output. CONSTITUTION:The pulse number setting mechanism of a pulse counter 7 is set to the proper number of pulses that decides no recovery to the normal glow discharge. When the glow discharge of load becomes unstable, the output DC voltage corresponding to the arc discharge stage is devided by a potentiometer 3 to be applied to an input terminal of a comparator 4. This divided voltage is then compared with the voltage of a setting power supply 5. As the voltage of the supply 5 is set at the divided voltage at that moment, the signal is delivered from the comparator 4 at this moment. Then the pulse is generated from a pulse generating circuit 6. The counter 7 counts these pulses and delivers a ddtection signal when the count value reaches the set pulse numerical value. This detection signal actuates an alarm curcuit 8 and a breaker 9. Thus a power supply circuit is cut off, and at the same time an alarm is produced.

    • PURPOSE: To make the circuit constitution of a titled device simple and make the constant voltage controlling of fast response speeds possible by obtaining the feedback voltage for the purpose of performing the constant voltage controlling from the input side of thyristors, and inputting the output of a service interruption detecting circuit directly to an A/D converter.
      CONSTITUTION: The output from a service interruption detecting circuit 11 is inputted directly to an A/D converter 19. This input signal to the converter 19 does not have zero voltage even in the period when thyristors 2, 3 are not conducting and assumes a sine waveform. With respect to constant voltage control operation, the taking-in operation of voltage is accomplished only in the period when the thyristors 2, 3 are actually conducting. The period when the thyristors 2, 3 conduct and electric current is flowed to load by a welding machine 8 via a welding transformer 7 is discriminated by a transformer 5 which detects the voltages across the thyristors 2, 3. The feedback output from the converter 19 is inputted to the thyristors 2, 3 via a pulse amplifier circuit 13 at prescribed short sampling periods, to change the phases of the firing pulses of the thyristors 2, 3, whereby constant voltage controlling is accomplished.

    • PURPOSE:To maintain the arc current at a fixed level without increasing the element to ensure an effective use to the neutral particle accelerator or the like, by providing the arc voltage control loop between the arc electrode and the SCR rectifier. CONSTITUTION:The arc voltage control loop comprising the arc voltage detecting circuit 20, the amplifier 21 and the comparator 21 is provided between the arc electrode 8 which is controlled by the chopper 7 and the SCR rectifier 3. The detection/monitor 20 is given to the arc voltage of the electrode 8 along with amplification 21. The arc voltage is then compared 22 with the current control signal supplied from the current controller 12 to obtain the error signal. This error signal controls the rectifier 3 via the gate pulse generator 13. Thus a quick following can be secured to the sudden change of the arc voltage caused when it commutates from the chopper 7 to the electrode 8. Furthermore, the arc current can be changed into the constant current by advancing the phase of the gate pulse to be applied to the rectifier 3.
