CONSTITUTION:A connection guide pipe 4 is engaged internally of the upper end part of a driven lower precast steel pipe concrete column 1, the lower end part of a steel pipe 2 of an upper precast steel pipe concrete column 1 is engaged externally thereof, and the steel pipes 2 and 2 are temporarily locked by means of an erection piece. Filling with mortar 5 is effected through a mortar filling port 2a to join concrete 3 with each other to construct a slab. Cooling water is fed in a flow passage 4a of the pipe 4, and the end parts of the steel pipes 2 are welded together as the pipe 4 is cooled. This method prevents transmission of a high temperature occasioned by welding to the mortar 5 through the pipe 4, resulting in the possibility to prevent deterioration of the concrete 3 and the mortar 5.
