    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass roving which is excellent in opening property without deteriorating strength of FRTP molded when being used for reinforcement of thermoplastic resin, in particular polybutylene phthalate, and to provide a method for manufacturing the glass roving and a glass fiber-reinforced composite resin material. SOLUTION: The glass roving 10 is made of glass strands 11 of which the surface is covered with a glass fiber sizing agent comprising, expressed by mass, 1.5% or more and 2.9% or less of epoxy resin and 0.5% or more and 1.5% or less of a lubricant. The method for manufacturing the glass roving 10 comprises: a process of forming fused glass drawn out of a nozzle into filaments; a process of applying the glass fiber sizing agent onto the surface of the filaments; and a process of sizing the filaments coated with the sizing agent and winding the sized filaments as the glass roving 10. The glass fiber-reinforced composite resin material is manufactured by using the glass roving 10 such that the glass roving impregnated with the thermoplastic resin is cooled and is cut into pellets having a prescribed length or is woven or braided into a composite material.
