    • PURPOSE: To effectively regenerate the energy to the power source side by re-starting a regenerative brake, and continuing application of the regenerative brake if the load on the power source side is returned even when the inverter DC voltage rises and the regenerative brake becomes ineffective when the regenerative brake is started or while the regenerative brake is in operation. CONSTITUTION: A delay circuit 61 is set so that no automatic reset may be made for about three seconds even if an overvoltage detecting circuit 21 detects the overvoltage, and the reference number of detection of the overvoltage is set to about 3 in a comparator 65. When the detecting circuit 21 detects the overvoltage, the gate start command GS is blocked, and the number of detection is counted by a counter 64, and the detecting circuit 21 is reset through the delay circuit 61 to make re-starting. Subsequently, the re-starting is realized in a similar manner if the number of detection is below three even when the detecting circuit 21 detects the overvoltage. The kinetic energy is regenerated to the power source side as much as possible, and an electric brake can be applied to a car as much as possible.

    • PURPOSE:To enable safe and exact execution of quick braking by utilizing speed servo locking in a short time even when only a holding brake is provided, by a method wherein the speed of a servomotor is reduced quickly by putting a servo amplifier in a state of servo locking when a quick braking command is received, and then the holding brake is put in a braked state. CONSTITUTION:When a quick braking request signal is transmitted by CPU 9 via a servo amplifier interface 13, a speed control signal is held in a state of stoppage by a quick braking circuit 14 and servo locking is executed. After passage of seconds t1, a holding brake control signal is held on the braking side and a machine to be driven and others are stopped and held by a holding brake 3. After seconds t2 pass further, a servo amplifier ON signal is switched onto the OFF side and a state of servo locking of a servomotor 1 is canceled. The time of the seconds t1 and t2 is set properly in accordance with the weight of a body to be driven and others. By utilizing speed servo locking, according to this constitution, a sufficient braking performance is obtained by a simple braking mechanism provided only with the holding brake.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress vibration of body due to variation of brake force caused through switching from regenerative brake to pneumatic brake at the final stage of regenerative brake operation by detecting regenerative brake force and combining the regenerative brake and the pneumatic brake according to a predetermined pattern. CONSTITUTION:A brake force generator receives a speed signal I1, a main circuit state signal 12, a regenerative brake input command 13, and a brake force command 14 and outputs a pneumatic brake control signal O1 and a regenerative brake signal O2. Only regenerative brake is applied for high speed but upon lowering of speed, a second simulation signal generator 10 closes switches SW2, SW3 to actuate a brake force pattern subtractor 8 and a coefficient generator 9. Consequently, regenerative brake force decreases according to a pattern and pneumatic brake operation takes place. By such arrangement, switching between regenerative brake operation and pneumatic brake operation can be carried out smoothly for an electric rolling stock.

An off brake device 5 is provided together with an electronic brake device, when a shutdown command is accepted, first of all the electronic brake device actuates, and a speed of the motor 1 is reduced to a certain set speed, when it reaches below the set speed, an electronic brake is stopped, and at the same time, the power to the electromagnetic coil 13 of the off brake device 5 is disconnected, and a brake is applied.
