    • A dual-action pressure switch apparatus has a piston member disposed in a switch mechanism containing chamber sealingly pertitioned by a diaphragm in the inner space of a housing, and being movable in the axial direction of chamber. A high-pressure snap disk is placed on the side surface of piston and contacts the diaphragm. In the chamber, a low-pressure snap disk is so arranged that its outer rim engages with the inner periphery of chamber and sandwich the piston between its center and the diaghragm. When the pressure of a pressurized fluid introduced in the inner space is lower than the lower limit of a certain range of values, both low and high snap disks are stable, so that paired resilient switch pieces disposed adjacent to the low snap disk in the chamber separate from each other. When the pressure is set in the certain range, only the low snap disk is transformed to push one switch piece to make it contact the other. When the pressure becomes higher than the upper limit of certain range, the high snap disk is then transformed to push a rod inserted through the piston and the low snap disk, so that the other switch piece is separated from the former transformed one switch piece.

    • PURPOSE:To ensure that engine oil can be prevented from flowing out of a vent hole in an insulating cap in large quantities by forming an outwardly projecting part at the end of the vent hole, and partially decreasing the cross-sectional area of the vent hole inside. CONSTITUTION:A vent hole 13 having an outwardly projecting part 14 is formed during formation of the insulating cap 3 of a pressure switch from resin. Then the projecting part 14 is pressurized and deformed using a jig 17 in which a recessed pressurizing portion 16 with a tapered part 16a abutting the tapered peripheral surface 14a of the projecting part 14 and having a smaller cone angle than that of 14a is formed. Therefore, the cross-sectional area of the vent hole 13 can be partially machined into a smaller diameter, especially at the end of the hole. This machining can be facilitated either by performing it while extra heat exists during the formation from the resin or by heating the jig 17 using a heater.

    • PURPOSE:To invert a switch logic easily by replacing a part change and further at a low cost, in a pressure switch. CONSTITUTION:A snap action disk 50 is supported on an annular protrusion part 14a in a bottom surface of a disk seat member 14 and also stopped to a stepped part 16a in a lower surface peripheral edge part of a converter 16. In the center part of the snap action disk 50, an opening 50a is formed, and by passing this opening 50a, an upper end 22a' of a movable contact operating rod 22' is connected to a lower surface recessed part 16c of the converter 16. A lower end 22b' of the movable contact operating rod 22' is connected to the upper surface intermediate part of a movable contact arm 24. A movable contact 28 is secured in a downward direction to a point end of the movable contact arm 211, and a fixed contact 32a is provided in an upward direction opposed to each other to this movable contact 28 in the upper end part of a terminal 32.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the degree of deformation and improve the durability of a diaphragm without deteriorating the responding property thereof by layering a heat resistant film on back pressure chamber side of the diaphragm and fixing the film only at the center part side of the diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a housing is partitioned into a pressure receiving chamber 7 and a back pressure chamber 8 by a diaphragm 3 in the center of which a movable contact point 5 is installed. Further, a heat resistant film 11 is layered and set in the back pressure chamber 8 and at the same time the heat resistant film 11 is fixed only at the center part side 11a of the diaphragm. On and off of the movable contact point 5 and a fixed contact point 6 installed in the housing side is done by displacement of the diaphragm 3 due to the pressure difference between the pressure in the pressure receiving chamber 7 and the pressure in the back pressure chamber 8. Consequently, when the diaphragm 3 is deformed, the deformation degree is suppressed without deteriorating the responding property of the diaphragm 3 by the function of the heat resistant film 11 which is layered on the diaphragm while the outer peripheral parts being set free.
