    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable safe walking and easy switching between a staircase with the height H 0 of a rise in a storage position and a staircase, using an auxiliary footstool 35, with "half" of the height H 0 of the rise for a person with walking impairment in a use position. SOLUTION: A staircase base body 1 is formed by sandwiching treadboards 10, arranged at the height H 0 (of the rise), between bridgeboards 2. The staircase 40 is constituted by making the auxiliary footstool 35 mounted in such a manner as to be rotatable around a rotating shaft 31 of an inner surface 3 of the bridgeboard 2. In the use position, the auxiliary footstool 35 is placed on the top surface 11 of the treadboard 10 (shown in a solid line in Fig. ), and locked and fixed to the bridgeboard 3 by means of a magnet. The staircase with "half" of the height H 0 of the rise is constituted by using the auxiliary footstools 35 and the treadboards 10. In the storage position, each of the auxiliary footstools 35 is unfixed, turned in the direction of an arrow 42, stored below the upper-side treadboards 10 (shown in a chain line in Fig. ), and locked and fixed to the bridgeboard 2 by means of the magnet.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral ladder and spiral stairs using the spiral ladder easily built up with simple constitution with a small number of components, and easily usable also for temporary work.
      SOLUTION: The spiral ladder includes a post formed with a plurality of groove parts of substantially inverted T-shape cross section on the side face of a cylindrical body in the length direction of the cylinder; protrusions of cross-sectional shape corresponding to the groove parts and having a predetermined length; and simple stepboard parts of substantially fan-shaped plate shape formed to be right-angled to the length direction of the post and connected with the protrusions. The spiral ladder further includes stepboard fixtures for inserting protrusions in the groove parts from one end of the post to fix the simple stepboard parts into the optional positions of the side face of the post. A plurality of stepboard fixtures are fixed so as to be spirally arranged around the post to build up the spiral ladder.
