    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tubular body which has a fiber bundle reinforced resin layer, and in which bending anisotropy is prevented from being generated in the circumferential direction of the tubular body.SOLUTION: A golf club shaft 12 is composed of a laminate formed by laminating a plurality of prepreg sheets 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32 in which synthetic resins are impregnated with reinforcement fibers. In the shaft, there is arranged in a part of the laminate of the prepreg sheets the fiber bundle reinforced resin layer 34 having fiber bundle groups X, Y, Y', Z, Z' in which fiber bundles x, y, y', z, z' impregnated with synthetic resins are oriented with spaces with prescribed pitches P1, P2, P3 in the bundled reinforcement fibers. Then, the fiber orientation direction of the fiber bundles of the fiber bundle reinforced resin layer is in the circumferential direction orthogonal to the axial direction and in the inclined direction inclining to the axial direction and the circumferential direction. The fiber layers reinforced in the axial direction are formed with the prepreg sheets in which reinforcement fibers arranged in the axial direction are impregnated with synthetic resin, and the fiber layers 32 arranged at least at one side of the inside and the outside of the fiber bundle reinforced resin layer.

Flexural rigidity distribution from the tip side to the back end side of the middle section is nearly identical for all golf-number clubs. In the back section, the rate of increase in flexural rigidity increases as compared with that of the front section as the golf-club number increases.
