    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic chlorine-containing waste treatment apparatus that increases the temperature of organic chlorine-containing waste to a target temperature at a small vapor amount and efficiently performs the organic chlorine decomposition and chlorine removal of the organic chlorine-containing waste.SOLUTION: This organic chlorine-containing waste treatment apparatus 1 includes a rotatable inner cylinder 2, an outer heat furnace 3 for surrounding the inner cylinder, an exhaust duct 4 that is disposed in an intermediate part of the inner cylinder and communicates the inside of the inner cylinder with the outside of the outer heat furnace, a vapor pipe 5 that is extended to the inside of the inner cylinder and supplies overheat vapor S to the inner cylinder, and a vapor delivery port 5b for delivering the overheat vapor from the vapor pipe. The organic chlorine-containing waste W supplied to the inner cylinder is heated by the heat from the outer heat furnace and the overheat vapor delivered from the vapor delivery port. Preferably, the vapor delivery port is arranged in the region of 2/3 of the downstream side of the flow of the organic chlorine-containing waste, of the whole region surrounded by the outer heat furnace of the inner cylinder, and the overheat vapor is delivered downward from the vapor delivery port.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a bisphenol compound by decomposing an aromatic polycarbonate, providing a high yield of the bisphenol compound, causing little by-product and facilitating the separation of the bisphenol compound, and to provide a production apparatus utilizable for the method. SOLUTION: The method for producing the bisphenol compound includes hydrolyzing the aromatic polycarbonate in the presence of calcium carbonate with a superheated steam to afford at least the bisphenol compound and carbon dioxide. The apparatus for producing the bisphenol compound has a reactor 1 for mixing aromatic polycarbonate particles with calcium carbonate particles in the flow of the superheated steam, and a cooler 6a for cooling both of the bisphenol compound formed at the reactor and the unreacted superheated steam.
