    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a media case and a circuit pattern sheet which have a simple configuration allowing highly dense collection and reliable recognition of housed disk media.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna and portable electronic device capable of surely communicating, in an RFID system, not only with a reader/writer for a strong electromagnetic field having a relatively large loop diameter of the antenna but also with a reader/writer for a slight electromagnetic field having a relatively small loop diameter of the antenna.
      SOLUTION: A portable electronic device having an RFID function has an RFID antenna 20 having a planar coil formed by winding a conductor 23. The RFID antenna 20 is a loop antenna having a loop diameter corresponding to RFID with a strong electromagnetic field characteristic, and has an antenna pattern where a part of its coil turn which is other than an inner most coil turn 23

      n . The antenna pattern can be provided by bending or branching a part of a coil turn of the conductor which is other than the innermost coil turn 23
      n in such a way that the part of the coil turn is laced inward of the innermost coil turn 23
      n , thereby ensuring compensation for the magnetic field strength at the center portion of the antenna and achieving excellent communications without a non-communicable area even with the RFID having weak electromagnetic field characteristics.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC chip built-in disk medium preventing physical strength and flatness from being damaged in a metallic film layer nonformation area, and securing a wide reading area. SOLUTION: An IC chip 5 is mounted on a boundary peripheral edge part of the metallic film layer nonformation area 3 and a metallic film layer formation area 4, in the disk medium 1A. The IC chip 5 is mounted on the surface of a metallic film layer 4a. An L-shaped slit 6A is formed in the metallic film layer 4a at a position where the IC chip 5 is mounted. The signal input/output electrodes 5a, 5b of the IC chip 5 are connected to the metallic film layer 4a positioned at both sides of the slit 6A. Consequently, the metallic film layer 4a can be used as an antenna for the IC chip 5, and also the impedance of the IC chip 5 can be matched with the impedance of the antenna formed by the metallic film layer 4a.
