    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high gradation display without needing high minute processing technology.
      SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display element has a first liquid crystal layer formed in contact with the same electrode keeping a first liquid crystal for selecting and reflecting a first wavelength band, and a second liquid crystal for selecting and reflecting a second wavelength band different from the first wavelength band and allowing a threshold voltage required for drive to differ from the first liquid crystal arranged in a pixel unit. The liquid crystal display element has a second liquid crystal layer formed to be brought into contact with the same electrode keeping a third liquid crystal for selecting and reflecting a second wavelength band, and a fourth liquid crystal for selecting and reflecting a third wavelength band different from the first wavelength band and the second wavelength band, and allowing a threshold voltage required for drive to differ from the third liquid crystal arranged in a pixel unit. The first liquid crystal layer and the second liquid crystal layer are arranged to be overlapped.
