    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a xonotlite based calcium silicate hydrate porous formed body by which a porous green cake having proper hardness is obtained in high yield and the porous green cake is cured in an autoclave to form sufficient xonotlite to manufacture the xonotlite based calcium silicate hydrate porous formed body having excellent characteristics such as excellent heat resistance and heat insulation.
      SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the xonotlite based calcium silicate hydrate porous formed body by pouring slurry containing calcareous raw material, a siliceous raw material, metal aluminum powder of a foaming agent and water into a molding flask, foaming and hardening to form the porous green cake and curing in the autoclave, quartz fine powder having 0.5-10 μm average particle diameter is used as a part of the siliceous raw material. The quartz fine powder having 0.5-10 μm average particle diameter is preferably added in a weight 30-80% of total siliceous raw material.
