    • PURPOSE:To obtain a roll which is highly resistant to heat crack and abrasion and can transfer a hot ingot such as cast ingot or the like without supercooling, by fitting and detaining plural ceramic rings by means of plural support rings which are fitted to the cylindrical part of the roll. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical part 1 of a roll body 5 of which both ends are formed into journals 6 is smaller in diameter than the diameter of a prescribed roll, and has step parts 7 for preventing the pull-out of support rings 2 and external screw parts 8 in one end part and the other end part. The ring 2 which is freely fittable onto the part 1 is fitted onto the part 1, and a ceramic ring 10 is fitted to the notched stepped part 9 of said ring so as to fit and detain one end part of the inside circumference by means of ceramic paper 15. The other end part of said ring 10 is similarly fitted and detained in the one notched stepped part 9 of a support ring 3. Thereafter, the rings 10 and the rings 3 are fitted similarly as shown in the figure, then a support ring 4 is fitted, a belleville spring 14, and a retaining ring 11 are fitted, a nut 17 is tightened and a stopper screw 18 is screwed down, whereby the assembly is completed.

    • PURPOSE:To automatically detach a bearing to reduce labor by providing a device for detaching a bearing from a hollow roll which includes plural claws engaged with the bearing in the hollow roll, and a pulling bar inserted in the hollow roll. CONSTITUTION:A device 10 is adapted to detach a bearing or a bush mounted inside of a guide roll 20 for transporting and guiding a cast piece in a continuous casting apparatus. The device includes a truck 2 capable of loading the guide roll 20 thereon and running along a track on a stand 11. The truck 2 has a receiving table 5, the height of which can be controlled through an elevating rod 15, so that the guide roll 20 can be located on the center line of a pulling bar 6 mounted on a frame 1. At the time of such location, the left end of the roll 20 is fitted to a faucet receiving opening 31 of a pressure receiving ring 4. When, in such a fitting condition, the pulling bar 6 is moved to the left by the operation of a hydraulic jack, the bearing can be pulled out by engagement of claws 8a-8c with the bearing.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a heat resistant roll which can prevent the development of cracking at a fixed limit in the heat resistant roll made by applying thermal cracking resistant overlaying layers on a roll core by making the 1st layer porous. CONSTITUTION:The porous 1st layer 2 is overlaid on a roll core material 1 with a nitrided electrode material 5 and a flux 6 by means of an automatic submerged arc welding machine 7. The material 5 may be the one which is rusted or coated with rust preventive oil or the one which is prepd. by adding oxide such as scale to the flux 6. The component system of the layer 2 may be the same as the component system of the material 3 or may be different therefrom. There is a case in which holes 4 are contained or in which they are exposed on the surface like holes 4' and either case is of no problem in use.
