    • PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic shield room which is high in mechanical strength, comparatively low in material cost, and excellent in shielding properties to a magnetic field of low frequency. CONSTITUTION:A large number of hollow cylinders 23 are prepared, where both ends of the hollow cylinder 23 are open. The cylinder 23 is formed of material such as Permalloy high in permeability and annealed. Provided that the inner diameter and the axial length of the cylinder 23 are represented by d and l respectively, d and l are so set as to satisfy a formula, l>3d. The cylinders 12 are stacked up in an axial direction setting their end faces on the same plane, and the stacked cylinders 23 are housed in a square frame 24 for the formation of a block 21. The frame 24 is also formed of Permalloy. The blocks 21 are stacked up to form a separating body such as the wall or the ceiling of a magnetic shield room.
