    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate the exchange of a water supply valve into a low water pressure water supply valve even in the case of a water supply abnormality by changing a judgement water level and a judgement time for judging the water supply abnormality at the time of next time washing when the water supply abnormality occurs in the midst of the execution of a washing process. SOLUTION: It is judged whether or not a time required for supplying water till a low water level scale 16L being a judgement water level inside a washing and drying tub 16 in order to detect the water pressure of water service. When the time is longer than the judgement time, the water supply abnormality is reported since the state is the abnormality detecting one. After the report of the water supply abnormality, contents which are programmed in a control part 5 from the beginning are changed, that is, the judgement time being a judgement standard for detecting the abnormality is rewritten. Then, an operation panel 6 is operated for executing next time washing and the process is started so that the changed program contents are corrected and set. Then, the washing process by the corrected and set program contents is executed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the visual confirmation of a selected operation course, and improve the usability by making displays indicated by illustrations, in a washing machine having display and control parts by which a user selects a desired operation course from a plurality of operation courses. SOLUTION: At the approx. center of a control panel which is arranged on the upper surface of the front edge part of the top cover of this washing machine, displays 22-31 and various kinds of control parts by which a user selects a desired operation course from a plurality of operations courses, are provided. For respective displays 24-31, respective operation courses are indicated by illustrations (pictures), and for the display 24, a 'memory course' is indicated by illustrations of a note and a pen, for the display 24, a 'peacefully sleeping' course is indicated by an illustration of a sleeping toddler, and for the display 26, a 'washing tank cleaning' course is indicated by an illustration of a tank cleaning with a rag. Also, for the display 27, a 'splash, splash' course is indicated by an illustration of socks being sunk in water, and for the display 28, a 'blanket' course is indicated by an illustration of a rounded blanket.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make properly recognizable a filter cleaning time by detecting the number of times of water supply operations of a pump device which is incorporated in a washing machine, which pumps up bath water, by a time detecting means, judging that the filter cleaning time comes when the detected number of times reaches reference times and executing a notifying operation. SOLUTION: When a washing operation in a bath water supply mode is executed at first after a powder source plug is inserted, a pump motor 21a is driven by a control circuit 26 so as to operate the pump device when a start switch is operated and, then, bath water is supplied to washing tank. Besides, at the time, the usage times N stored in RAM 28a is updated and also a time till a water level becomes the prescribed min. one is measured based on an input signal from a water level sensor 14 so as to detect a water supply ability. When a water supply operation is the first-time one, the reference time is set based on the water supply ability. When the water supply operation times N reach reference times, it is judged that the filter cleaning time comes so that the cleaning time is reported by a display part 32.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively eliminate foam generated between the internal and external tanks for a washing machine wherein water is stored only in the internal tank at the time of washing and rinsing. SOLUTION: For an internal tank 4 which has dehydrating holes 9 only at the upper part, a water introducing hose 24 which communicates with a water draining hose 23 from the bottom part of an external tank 2, is provided, and water is pooled in the external tank 2 (between the internal and external tanks) by stopping the water draining by the water introducing hose 24, by a second water draining valve 22, and then, the water pooled in the external tank 2 is discharged by performing a water draining by the introducing hose 24. By doing so, foam generated at the inside of the external tank 2 (between the internal and external tanks) is separated from the external surface of the internal tank 4 and the internal surface of the external tank 2 by the pooled water, and the foam is washed away together with the water to be discharged.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent water from being spattered to the outside when a soft finishing agent is inserted by providing a control means driving the first and second water feed valves, and setting the starting and stopping conditions of the drive of the second water feed valve after the start of the drive and before the stop of the drive of the first water feed valve. CONSTITUTION: When a detergent is to be fed, water is injected into a detergent storage container 61 from the first injection port 38, and water is fed into a washing tub together with the detergent. When a finishing agent is to be fed, the second water feed valve 75 is opened concurrently with or after the first water feed valve 74, water is injected into the detergent storage container 61 from the first water feed port 38, the detergent is already fed, and water is fed into the washing tub as it is. When water is injected into a finishing agent storage container 62 from the second water feed port 77, water is fed into the washing tub together with the finishing agent stored in the finishing agent storage container 62, and the water injected into the detergent storage container 61 is stopped after the water injected into the finishing agent storage container 62 is completely stopped.

    • PURPOSE: To enable the quick and effective stripping of washed materials which adhere to the circumferential inside wall of tank in the rinsing process after the dewatering process, and thus, enable the effective rinsing without lengthening the time for the rinsing process. CONSTITUTION: The water conduit 12 fitted with a spouting outlet 15 which spouts, toward inside the tank 4, water discharged by the pump impellers 10 behind the agitator 5 is installed by sourrounding the circumferential wall of tank 4 with front surface, back surface and both side surfaces. Then, the washed materials, adhering to the circumferential wall of tank 4, are quickly stripped by the water spouted from the spouting outlet 15. At this state, the rinsing is made possible. The water conduit 12 surrounding the circumference with the exception of spouting outlet 15 can conduct, without leakage, and therefore, without pressure drop, the water discharged by the pump impellers 10. Moreover, the spouting toward inside the tank 4 can be made strong by directing the spouting outlet toward inside the tank 4, so that the washed materials can be effectively stripped.

    • PURPOSE: To sufficiently restrict the shaking of a water-receiving tub and an agitating tub by two inner cushioning mediums disposed on and under an inner lid in a device for packaging a washer-dryer provided with the inner lid. CONSTITUTION: First and second inner cushioning mediums 33, 34 are disposed on the upper and lower surfaces of an inner lid 24. A support member 35 is disposed in an agitating tub 18 so as to support the second inner cushioning medium 34. The first inner cushioning medium 33 is fitted to a top cover 14. The second inner cushioning medium 34 is fitted to a balancing ring 21. These first and second inner cushioning mediums 33, 34 are both engaged with a recessed part 29 of the inner lid 24 from above and below to be formed as an integral part, therefore being never shifted from each other. Therefore, a water-receiving tub 17 and the agitating tub 18 can be sufficiently restricted from shaking by the first and second cushioning mediums 33, 34.

    • PURPOSE:To judge the quantity of clothes, etc., accommodated in a wash trough quickly by furnishing a water supply sensing means to sense the water supply by a water supply means into the wash trough which suits the accommodated clothes, and judging the quantity of the clothes from the sensing result. CONSTITUTION:A water level sensor 17 senses the water level from change in the oscillation frequency resulting from rise of the air pressure in an air trap 12 when water stagnates in a wash trough 4, and the water supplied to the wash trough 4 only splashes first over the clothes and permeates, and does not stagnate, which however takes place after being saturated with the clothes. The time until the supplied water stagnates, i.e., the time until a certain change in the oscillation frequency appears in the water level sensor 17, depends upon the quantity of the clothes, being shorter with smaller quantity and longer with a greater quantity. Therefore, judgement of the quantity is conducted on the way of first run of water supplying. Thus, the quantity of clothes can be judged quickly without awaiting finish of water supply and accordingly the start of the agitation.
