SOLUTION: By conveying recording medium 1 on a conveying passage 5, the recorded information of the previous image is real from the magnetically record part of the medium with a read head 6 so as to locate a region to erase in the visible image recorded part of the recorded medium 1 on the basis of the read information. The position of a heat generating part 10 on a thermally erasing roller 8 is detected with a heat generating part sensor 11 so as to determine the rotating timing of the thermally erasing roller 8 for coinciding the heat generating part 10 with the region to erase of the recorded medium 1. When the recorded medium 1 is detected with a position sensor 13, the counting of the timing of the action after the detection is started so as to rotate the thermally erasing roller 8 by the predetermined timing and, at the same time, the heat generating action of the heat generating part 10 is also started in order to erase the previous image of the recorded medium 1, After that, another visible image is recorded with a thermal head 14.

By applying the electrostatic latent image body to the conventional electronic process as a substitute for the conventional photosensitive body, the chargeless electrophotographic process can be achieved.
