摘要： PURPOSE:To use an antenna system at high gains in a horizontal direction in suberbs and to reduce the depth of fading in downtown by deciding the situation of the fading from the output signal of a receiver receiving signals from an antenna capable of switching the directivity in a vertical plane. CONSTITUTION:Where the output of a reception input power detection part 21, that of a mean detection circuit 22 and a threshold voltage are (a), (b) and (c), respectively, a comparator 23 compares (a) and (b) at every time a clock pulse is given from a clock generator 27, and outputs one pulse (d) or (e) accord ing to la-b1>=c or ¦a-b¦ k, the fading is decided a downtown type because of more variance. An antenna controller 2 controls the directivity in the vertical plane of an antenna 1 based on the result (h) decided by the decision circuit.

摘要： PURPOSE:To insulate metallic things such as a speaker, a microphone and wiring from a built-in antenna by disposing nonmetallic voice propagation tubes between a speaker and a receiver opening part and between a microphone and a transmitter opening. CONSTITUTION:The receiver opening part 16 is formed on the upper part of a handset main body 11, and the voice propagation tube 17 made of synthetic resin connects the opening part 16 and the speaker 13. On the other hand the transmitter opening part 18 is formed on the lower part, and the voice proparation tube 19 made of nonmetal connects the opening part 18 and the microphone 14. A monopolar antenna 15 is built in the handset main boy 11, and disposed astride the upper and lower parts of the main body 11. This constitution enables metallic elements such as a speaker, a microphone and wiring to be isolated from a built-in antenna, which a conventionl handset was not able to achieve.
