    • PURPOSE:To simplify a mechanism to liquefy vaporized fuel and to prevent incurring of a cooling energy loss. CONSTITUTION:A canister housing 34 in which granular activated coals 55 and 56 are contained and a fuel tank 23 are interconnected through a first passage 30. A housing 34 and the intake air passage 7 of an engine are interconnected through a second passage 31 and an on-off valve 32 is located in the middle of the passage 31. During closing of an on-off valve 32, vaporized fuel generated from liquid fuel 20 in the fuel tank 23 is adsorbed to the activated coals 55 and 56 and during opening of the on-off valve 32, fuel adsorbed to the activated coals 55 and 56 is eliminated and discharged in the intake air passage 7. A liquid fuel storage container 43 is embedded in the activated coals 55 in the housing 34 and when vaporized fuel from the fuel tank 23 passes through the storage container 43, fuel is eliminated from the activated coals 55 and 56 and the vaporized fuel is cooled through endothermic operation occurring when fuel is eliminated from the activated coals 55 and 56 and gasified, and stored in a liquid state in the storage container 43.

    • PURPOSE:To improve precision of judgement of completion of air-fuel ratio learning, and also to make the air-fuel ratio learning efficiently. CONSTITUTION:An air fuel ratio controller is provided with an air-fuel ratio control means 21 for carrying out the feedback control and the learning control per learning range, a learning completion judging means 22 for the judging learning completion per range, and the other control carrying-out means 23 for carrying out the other control in the completion range.     • PURPOSE:To accelerate the recovery of a canister for evaporating fuel adsorption capacity as well as to make the working capacity maintainable large enough by constituting the extent of internal pressure in the charcoal canister so as to make it maintainable to the specified pressure higher than the atmospheric pressure in the case other than a purged state. CONSTITUTION:Evaporating fuel generated out of fuel 12 in a fuel tank 10 is entered in a trapper 36 by way of a vapor line 46 by dint of vapor pressure. Next, a check valve 38 is opened and it is moved into a lower chamber 34, thus it is adsorbed to active carbon grains 48. When intake negative pressure acts on a purge chamber 50 at the time of medium high load driving of an engine, the evaporating fuel is drawn in an intake passage 56 by way of a purge line 52 by dint of a pressure differential and fed to a combustion chamber. If the lower chamber 34 canes to negative pressure, this negative pressure acts on an upper chamber 32 through filters 30, 28 and an active carbon layer, whereby a check valve 60 is opened and air is taken thereinto, thus the adsorbed fuel is separated, and this fuel is designed so as to be put back to the fuel tank 10 by way of a back purge line 44.
