SOLUTION: The reproducing method of reproducing a recording medium where an I picture representing the main video is arranged before an I picture representing sub-video to be displayed simultaneously. The position of an I picture of a video block corresponding to a specified display start point of time is found by reference to a table generated based upon information of an access point map recorded in the recording medium. The I picture corresponding to the display start point of time is decoded, and the position of the I picture to be used for special reproduction is calculated from the access point map according to the speed of the special reproduction to decode the I picture.
