摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain an element having less variance in phase transformation temperature due to repeated action, stabilized and reliable action, and a wide range of allowable ambient temperature by using a shape memory alloy made of nickel, titanium, and copper having the orthorhombic phase transformation mechanism. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a heater coil 9 through which a current flowing through a circuit flows, a shape memory alloy member 8 for actuating circuit breaker mechanisms 6, 7 actuated with the heat generated in the heater coil 9 when the current flows through the coil 9, and a magnetic material member 10 for actuating the circuit breaker mechanisms 6, 7 with the heat generated in the heater coil 9 when a short circuit current flows through the heater coil 9. The shape memory alloy 8 is made of nickel, titanium, and copper having an orthorhombic phase transformation mechanism. This makes it possible to have less variance in characteristics due to repeated actions, and a wide range of temperatures within which action is assured within a normal practicable temperature range.

摘要： PURPOSE:To manufacture a shape memory alloy working at relatively high temp. and reduced in deterioration in characteristics due to heat cycle by subjecting a Ti-Ni-Cu shape memory alloy with a specific composition to hot working, annealing, and cold working to form this alloy into a wire, etc., and then applying low-heat treatment to the above. CONSTITUTION:An ingot of an Ni-Ti-Cu alloy having a composition consisting of, by atom, 49.5-50.5% Ti, 5.5-12.0% Cu, and the balance Ni is annealed, e.g., at 950 deg.C for about 5hr and then hot-worked into a wire of about 5mmphi. This wire is subjected to wire drawing, while being repeatedly annealed, and then to final annealing at about 900 deg.C and further to cold working at 10-40% draft so as to be worked into a wire of 0.6mmphi, which is coiled and then subjected to low-heat treatment at 350-600 deg.C. By this method, the shape memory alloy wire working at relatively high temp. and reduced in deterioration in characteristics due to heat cycle can be obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the titled material having small contact resistance and consumption and having excellent welding resistance by dispersing Ag and metallic particles which separate into two phases and have specified particle size into an Ag matrix at specific weight ratios. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal consisting of Ag and the metal which separates into two phases from Ag and contg. 0.5-20% metal for the total weight of Ag and the metal is quench solidified to form a conducting composite material. The resulting powder is subjected to compression molding and is sintered to the titled material. In the conducting composite material, one or more kinds of the metallic particles having 0.01-1mum particle size are dispersed into the Ag matrix. The metal to be dispersed is selected from Ni, Cr, Fe, Co, Si, Rh and V. Said contact material has small contact resistance and consumption and has excellent welding resistance.
