CONSTITUTION:An isobutylene-based polymer containing a unit of the formula (R1 is H, methyl or ethyl; R2 is 1-20C bifunctional organic group; Y is reactive silicon group). A polymer consists essentially of an isobutylene monomer unit, has 500-500,000 number-average molecular weight and contains >1 unit of the formula in one molecule on the average. The polymer substantially contains no unsaturated bond and is obtained by reacting an isobutylene-based polymer with an epoxy group-containing reactive organic silicon compound.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a new simply producible isobutylene-based polymer containing one or more unsaturated groups in one molecule on the average without using an expensive raw material by reacting a specific isobutylene-based polymer with an unsaturated group-containing compound. CONSTITUTION:An isobutylene-based polymer having >1.0 unit of formula I (R1 is H, methyl or ethyl; R2 is 1-20C bifunctional organic group; R3 is H or 1-10C monofunctional organic group; (n) is 14) in one molecule on the average. The isobutylene-based polymer is obtained by reacting a isobutylene-based polymer containing a phenolic unit of formula II (R4 is H, methyl, etc.) with an unsaturated group-containing compound of formula III (R5 is 1-20C organic group; R6 is H or 1-10C monofunctional organic group; X is halogen). The isobutylene-based polymer consists essentially of an isobutylene monomer unit and has preferably 1,000-50,000 number-average molecular weight. The number of the unit of formula I is 1.1-5 and the unit preferably exists as side chains.

Therefore, a highly weather resistant solar battery module which is highly durable in a high-humidity atmosphere and has a two- layer sealing resin structure can be obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a good polymer even at a relatively high temp. using an inexpensive Lewis acid by reacting a specific isobutylene polymer with a specific organic compound by the Friedel-Crafts reaction. CONSTITUTION:An isobutylene polymer which has a number-average mol.wt. of 500-200,000 and has at least 1.1 terminal groups represented by formula I [wherein W is a halogen or R COO-(where R is a monovalent organic group)] per molecule is reacted with an organic compound represented by formula II (wherein n is 1-30 and R and R each is a monovalent organic group or H) by the Friedel-crafts reaction, thereby producing the title polymer having a number-average mol.wt. of 500-200,000 and at least 0.2 vinyl-terminated groups represented by formula III (wherein n, R , and R are each as defined above) per molecule. In this method, an inexpensive Lewis acid which yields a by- product polymer terminated by an unsaturated bond can be used as a polymerization catalyst in place of BCL3, an expensive Lewis acid. By this method, a good polymer can be obtained even at a relatively high temp. of -30 deg.C. This polymer cures rapidly to show good heat resistance.
