    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable slot-in type heat generation resistor type flow measuring instrument which has excellent vibration resistance, and also has structure for preventing a characteristic error caused by heat effect of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: The flow measuring instrument comprises: a housing provided between a frame body 4 and a connector 2 and having a support part 3 as a fixing part on a mounting part of a body 15 for forming a fluid passage; flow detection elements 7, 8 held on a frame body side of the housing; and an electronic circuit 6 held on the housing and electrically connected to the flow detection elements and connector. A highly rigid member 22 with higher rigidity than material of a main constituting member of the housing is integrally molded with the support part. The housing is positioned on the fluid passage by at least one projection 23 and a recessed part for receiving the projection provided between the mounting part and the support part.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air flow measuring module with a module integrated with a circuit part and a sub-flow-passage part provided with almost all the functions of a heat-evolution resistance type air flow measuring instrument, and capable of reducing a size and a weight. SOLUTION: The flow measuring module is provided integrally with: the sub-flow-passage having a heat-evolution resistor and a heat sensitive resistor; a fixing member for fixation; the heat-evolution resistor and the heat sensitive resistor provided in the sub-flow-passage; and an electronic circuit. The sub-flow-passage is inserted from an insertion hole provided in a body constituting a main flow passage, and the fixing member is fixed onto the body to position the sub-flow-passage in the main flow passage and is supported overhungly. The sub-flow-passage has: a duct line arranged with the heat-evolution resistor and the heat sensitive resistor; and a receiving-pan-like bottom face part provided in a side more distal from the fixing member than an inlet of the duct line, the duct line has a duct line part provided in parallel to the bottom face part, in a downstream along a direction of a main flow flowing through the main flow passage on the bottom face, and flow passage walls in sides adjacent each other between the bottom face part and the duct line part are formed respectively of planes.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of the detection accuracy of a flow sensor caused by dirt and breakage of the sensor due to overheat by a flow sensor provided upstream of a throttle and by providing a flow sensor between a junction of EGR gas and fresh air and an intake pipe collector. SOLUTION: A detection device of an EGR gas flow rate has the flow sensors 9, 10 provided upstream and downstream of the junction of fresh air and EGR gas and obtains EGR gas volume from a flow rate difference between the two sensors. An EGR rate for every cylinder is estimated from the time-series values of EGR gas volume, and injection timing, an injection quantity, a pilot injection ratio and an EGR gas mixing means for every cylinder are controlled based on the estimated rate.
