    • PURPOSE: To prepare coal/water slurry having high concn. of coal of a particle size suitable for fluid gasification and capable of being stably supplied without sedimentation, by adding and mixing water compounded with a thickening agent and a surfactant, with coal adjusted in particle size.
      CONSTITUTION: Coal 15 adjusted in particle size and consisting of 60W75wt% coarse coal of a particle size of about 0.25W1mm and 40W25wt% fine coal of a particle size ≤ about 0.25mm, is formed by crushing and classifying coal 11 by using a rough crusher 101 and fine crusher 102. Water 20, a thickening agent 21 such as polyethylene oxide and a surfactant 22 such as sodium alkylbenzene- sulfonate are fed into a mixing tank 201 and mixed by agitation. The obtd. liquid medium 25 is fed along with said coal 15 adjusted in particle size to a mixing tank 202 and mixed/agitated to prepare coal/water slurry (marks 24 and 31 each represent a pump).

    • PURPOSE:To concurrently measure many samples without mutual interferences by providing a bulkhead to fit multiple different measurement samples concurrently and distinctively to a sample hold section and providing a means to radiate primary ions or neutral particles to the samples individually. CONSTITUTION:A bulkhead 11 forming sample separation grooves is provided on a sample hold section 12 and samples 13-16 of four types, for example, are fitted while preventing interferences each other. Primary ions or neutral particles are applied to a deflection electrode 5 through a lens, and a deflection electrode control device varies the voltage of the electrode 5 to radiate the samples 13-16 of the hold section 12 in sequence continuously or selectively. The hold section is supported by a sample hold section support mount 18, and the position of the hold section 12 is controlled by controlling a shift bar 20. Accordingly, samples of many types can be concurrently measured without generating interferences among the samples.
