    • PURPOSE:To perform printing without causing the adhesion of carrier to a paper by allowing the carrier whose saturation magnetization, particle size and specific gravity are set at specified set values to float while impressing a specified voltage between a photosensitive body and a rotor with a sleeve where a magnetic pole is arranged and attaching a carrier particle whose saturation magnetization, particle size and specific gravity are smaller than the specified set values to the photosensitive body and removing it. CONSTITUTION:The carrier 1 whose saturation magnetization, particle size and specific gravity are specified set values are allowed to float while impressing the specified voltage between the rotor with the sleeve 3 where the magnetic pole 2 is arranged and the rotatable photosensitive body 4 which is arranged to be opposed to the rotor 3. The carrier particle whose saturation magnetization, particle size and specific gravity are smaller than the specified set value of the carrier 1 which is allowed to float is attached to the photosensitive body 4 or the rotors with a magnet and the sleeve 5 and 6 respectively set near the rotor with sleeve 3 and the photosensitive body 4. Then, the rest is attached to the rotor with sleeve for recovery 7 which is set below the photosensitive body 4 and provided with the magnetic pole and recovered, thereby obtaining the carrier 1a for the developer used for the development of electrostatic photography.

    • PURPOSE:To secure positional accuracy between an optical unit and a photosensitive unit by directly brining the respective unit into contact with each other at a point becoming a positional reference as the unit. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive unit 8 consisting by turnably supporting a photosensitive drum is positioned in a main body frame 5 by pins 13 and 14 and fixed by a know. The optical unit 2 is mounted on the unit 8 at three accuracy adjusting parts. Then, the accuracy such as parallelism, torsional degree or height of respective two places of guide member 15 and a frame stay 16, which are provided on the frame 7 of a photosensitive body, with respect to the photosensitive drum is previously provided. On the other hand, the accuracy such as the parallelism, the torsional degree or the height of the respective rotating members 17 - 19 of the optical unit 2 is previously provided. Then, the optical unit 2 is pressed against the photosensitive unit 8 at three points by an energizing member 20. Thus, the positional accuracy between the photosensitive body and laser light is easily secured and printing quality is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten a handling time spent on the developer replacing working of a maintenance parson or an operator by providing a mechanism discharging the developer from a developing machine, a container housing the developer, a tank storing a fresh developer, and a mechanism newly feeding the developer. CONSTITUTION:A printer main body counts the number of printing pages, and a printer displays a message so as to urge the operator to replace the developer when the prescribed number of pages is obtained. The operator carries out the discharging working of the developer by turning on a switch for exchanging the developer. In other words, a discharging valve 9 is opened, after the lapse of a prescribed time a closing action is carried out. Then, the measurement of the fresh developer is carried out, that is, a measuring valve 6 is opened, a measuring tank is made full, and then, the measuring valve 6 is closed. Then, a feeding valve 7 is opened to feed the developer of a necessary amount to the developing machine 1. This consecutive actions (sequence) are automatically controlled. Thus, the number of times of the exchanging working of the developer by the maintenance parson or the operator can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the performance of a device to miniaturize the device and to reduce a cost by constituting a paper carrying path between a paper feeding hopper and a fixing device of a photosensitive body having a flat part, and driving a sheet only by means of the flat part of the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic printer is provided with the paper feeding hopper 1, a mean picking up the sheet 2 from the paper feeding hopper 1, the photosensitive body 3 holding a toner image 5, a transferring unit 4 trans ferring the toner image 5 on the sheet 2, a carrying means having the carrying path of the sheet 2, and the fixing part 11 including a heat roll 8 and fixing the toner image 5 transferred on the sheet 2. The sheet carrying path between the paper feeding hopper 1 and the fixing part 11 is composed of the photosensi tive body 3, and the sheet 2 is driven only by the photosensitive body 3. Thus, the blurring in a transfer is prevented and the performance of the device is improved. A photosensitive body is used for carrying a sheet surving also as the sucking of the sheet for a transferring unit, so that a device is miniaturized and cost-down is attained.
