    • PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of unnecessary force working between a first and a second objects by detecting the position information of a terminal effector by a second position detecting means in the first trial, and controlling the position of the terminal effector from the second trial onward on the basis of this detected position information. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a terminal effector 6 disposed at the tip part of an arm 4 forming a joint part so as to support a specified control object oscillatingly, and a position detecting part 5 serving as a first position detecting means for detecting the position and attitude of the arm 4. There is additionally provided a position detecting part 12 serving as a second position detecting means for especially detecting the position and attitude of the terminal effector 6. In the first trial, the position of the terminal effector 6 is detected by the position detecting part 12. On the basis of this position information, the position of the terminal effector 6 from the second trial on is controlled by a position control part 2. The generation of unnecessary force working between a first object 7 and a second object is thereby prevented.
