摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decompose and remove hydrogen peroxide in liquid in a short time at a low cost without neutralization reaction treatment by irradiating hydrogen peroxide in liquid with light by an ultraviolet lamp, a xenon lamp, a black light, etc. SOLUTION: Light sources 2 such as an ultraviolet lamp are arranged in the middle of a photochemical reaction tank 1, and a photocatalyst 3 such as glass beads coated with titanium dioxide (TiO2 ) etc., are packed around the light sources 2. An inflow pipe 4 is connected to the lower part of the tank 1, and an outflow pipe 5 is connected to the upper part of the tank 1. Raw water such as drainage of washing liquid used in a semiconductor production process is introduced from the pipe 4 into the tank 4, and hydrogen peroxide in the liquid is irradiated with light in the presence of the photocatalyst 3. In this way, the photocatalyst 3 absorbs radiation energy to be excited and promotes the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide to remove it.

Since ZnO is more adsorptive than Pd on a sulfur compound, in the purification of air containing a sulfur compound such as IH2 S and SOx together with CO, the affection of a poisonous sulfur compound on Pd is prevented, allowing the efficient oxidation of CO.

SOLUTION: An air cleaning filter 3 uses a complex catalyst in which a platinum group catalyst such as Pd is supported on a photocatalyst such as TiO2 . The complex catalyst is made resistant to the affection of poisonous sulfur compounds by being irradiated with light. In the filter 3, the quantity of the supported platinum group catalyst in the complex catalyst is arranged to increase stepwise or continuously in proportion to the distance from a light source 2. The filter 3 and an air cleaner for cars using the filter 3 can solve above-described problems and con be used or operated for a long period without maintenance work.

The isomer of the organic chemical compound causing isomerization reaction through the radiation of light before the isomerization reaction is inactive electrochemically, the isomer after the isomerization reaction is active electrochemically and the produced substance by the electrochemical reaction after the isomerization reaction is stable and distinguished from the isomer before the isomerization reaction. Thus, photon mode information recording with ultrahigh density is simply and stably implemented.

Thus, the concentration of the alcohol in the fluid 8 can be obtained accurately. When the measurement is finished, a power source 4 is connected to a lead wire 25 of the sensor 2, and a specified potential is applied. Then, the transparent state is restored.

The waste introduced in the reactor is photodecomposed with the light which is emitted from a light source 61 and introduced through a lens 71 and removed and the purified substances are discharged from a sample outlet 53.
