    • PURPOSE:To obtain a recording and reproducing device to have satisfactory operability and to be compact and light in weight at a low cost by selectively switching a connecting terminal to the input terminal of a recording signal and the output terminal of a reproducing signal based on the operation of an operating part between a recording and reproducing means and the connecting terminal with an external part. CONSTITUTION:A video signal from a camera and a video signal from an external connecting terminal 8 are switched by a changing-over switch 2 and inputted to the IN of a VTR part 3. The OUT of the VTR part 3 is switched by a changing-over switch 4 with the external connecting terminal 8. In a condition that both changing-over switches 2 and 4 are connected in an (a) side, the video signal from a camera part 1 is outputted through the VTR part 3 to the external output terminal 8. When an LINE key 7 is pushed in a halt mode, a CPU5 connects both changing-over switches 2 and 4 in a (b) side. As a result, the terminal 8 is connected to the IN of the VTR part 3 and the VTR part 3 goes to a condition that the externally inputted video signal can be recorded.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a satisfactory reproducion with a simple circuit in the case of a speed change reproduction by providing plural sets of rotating heads having different azimuth angles from one another and disposed in close contact with one another and selectively using respective heads by using tracking control signals obtained from reproducing signals from the respective heads. CONSTITUTION:Heads CH1, CH4, and CH2, CH3 respectively have the same azimuth angle and the azimuth angles of the former and the latter are different. The head CH1, CH3 and the CH2, CH4 are respectively disposed in close contact with each other. Change over switches SW1, SW2 are controlled by a pulse signal (ATF.P) obtained based on the tracking control signal (ATF signal) and the outputs thereof become (CH1+CH3), (CH2+CH4), respectively. An SW3 is changed over by a changing signal (30PG) synchronously with the rotation of a rotating drum and its output becomes (RF). Accordingly, even when a recording medium is run at a speed different from a recording time, the satisfactory reproduction is obtained with the simple circuit.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the miserasion of the recorded information by recording the detecting signal for prevention of miserasion together with the information signal and detecting said detecting signal contained in the reproduction signal of a rotary erasion head FEH in a record mode. CONSTITUTION:The detection signal for prevention of miserasion is recorded at the position set immediately after a head rushes to a tape. The signal which is reproduced by a FEH34 via the side L of a switch 37 is amplified by an amplifier 39 and the detection signal for miserasion is separation for wave detection through a BPF and detected. This detection signal is compared with the prescribed voltage 44 by a comparator 41. Thus the detection signal for prevention of miserasion is detected by the FEH34. Then a signal of a high level is supplied to the D input of a flip-flop FF42. The Q output (h) of the FF42 is set at a high level and the output of an AND gate 50 is changed to a low level regardless of the output of an exclusive logic circuit 49. Thus the supply of the erasion signal is inhibited to the FEH34. While the Q output of an FF52 is set at a low level after the output of the gate 50 is changed to a low level. Then a switch 35 is connected to the L side to inhibit a recording action.

    • PURPOSE:To discriminate intervals of recording tracks, namely, a medium transporting speed for recording by using effectively four kinds of pilot signal superposed successively onto each recording track. CONSTITUTION:A tape speed detecting circuit 8 consists of a pilot detecting circuit 16 which detects four kinds of pilot signal independently one another, the first speed error detecting circuit 17 which detects it in accordance with the detection signal of the pilot detecting circuit 16 that four kinds of pilot signal are reproduced in a one-field time, the second speed error detecting circuit 18 which detects it in accordance with the detection signal of the pilot detecting circuit 16 that two or more kinds of pilot signal are not reproduced in a two-field time, and a control circuit 19 which generates a reproducing mode switching signal in accordance with output signals of velocity error detecting circuits 17 and 18. Individual parts of a device are so controlled that the SP mode is set if said reproducing mode switching signal 19a is in the high level and the LP mode is set if this signal 19a is in the low level, and a capstan motor is controlled to switch the transporting speed of a tape, and a switch is changed over to switch the head used for reproducing, thus switching the reproducing mode to/from the SP mode from/to the LP mode.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent still video, by stopping recording media when a delayed vertical synchronizing signal and dropout are coincident with each other. CONSTITUTION:A reproduced video signal (a) without dropout from a terminal 1 is inputted to Synchless circuit 3. Then, a horizontal synchronizing signal is picked up and since no horizontal synchronizing signal exists in the dropout part, the dropout part is detected. Further, this signal (a) is inputted to a vertical synchronizing separation circuit 5 and a vertical synchronizing signal (c) is picked up. The output of a delay circuit 6 is inverted after a prescribed time when the signal (c) is inputted. When the output (d) of the circuit 6 is inverted, a capstant stop signal is generated from a capstan stop signal generator 4 with the output (b) of the circuit 3. The inversion of the output of the circuit 6 where the said prescribed time is determined suitably is given to the next vertical blanking period. Thus, after the generation of the capstan stop signal, dropout is given to the vertical blanking period, and excellent still reproduction is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate a duplicated part or a non-recording part at joint of editing sections for video and audio tracks, by bringing a video information erasing means and an audio information erasing means in different timing respectively into operating or nonoperating state. CONSTITUTION:An audio signal is superimposed on a bias from an oscillation circuit 14, an SW15 is closed with an output of a switching circuit 17 through the set-on of an edition start switch SW16, and a current flows to an erasing head 2. An output of the circuit 17 is delayed 18 for a time corresponding to v/l to close an SW13 and to set on a recording/reproduction head 3. At the end of edition, the SW16 is set off, and a current to the head 2 is interrupted with an edition end signal from the circuit 17. Further, the end signal is delayed 17 for v/l to turn off the recording current to the head 3. Thus, a duplicated part where a part already recorded and an inserted part are overlapped at the beginning of edition and a non-recording part at the end of edition can not be produced, allowing to perform excellent edition.
