For example, carbon dioxide in a carbon dioxide cylinder 52 is introduced into a carbon dioxide dissolving apparatus using a gas permeable membrane through a carbon dioxide introducing pipe 54 and dissolved in raw water in a water arriving well tank 4 through the gas permeable membrane by the carbon dioxide dissolving apparatus. Thereafter, a flocculant 40 is added to raw water in a rapid stirring tank 8.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying a starch sugar solution using an ion exchange resin, having excellent desalination performances, decoloration performances and pH stability of treated sugar solution and low isomerization ratio of glucose, consequently capable of providing treatment performances, stabler than those of a conventional system and controlling microbial proliferation in an ion exchange resin layer during treatment by passing the solution through the resin layer. SOLUTION: Both a decoloration process for using a strongly basic anion exchange resin of salt form and a decoloration process for using a strongly acidic cation exchange resin and a weakly basic anion exchange resin are carried out and both the processes are performed at 40-90 deg.C in passing through the solution through the resins. For example, a starch sugar solution 22 is passed through a decoloration system composed of an anion exchange apparatus 2 using the strongly basic anion exchange resin of salt form and a desalination system 8 composed of an anion exchange apparatus 6 using the weakly basic anion exchange resin at 40-90 deg.C.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective waste water treatment method and apparatus which solves the scale deposition of a fixed bed type biological treatment device when adding excess calcium sources into waste water containing fluoride ions and nitrogen components, removing the fluoride ions as calcium salt and subjecting the waste water to nitrifying and denitrifying by a fixed bed type biological treatment. SOLUTION: This waste water treatment method has a first stage of adding the calcium sources to the waste water and removing the fluoride ions as the calcium salts from the waste water, a second stage of supplying the waste from which the fluoride ions are removed to a liquid flow type condenser, impressing a DC voltage to a pair of the electrodes of the liquid flow type condenser and removing the ion components from the waste water under flow or recovering water to obtain the waste water decreased in the calcium ions, then recovering the removed calcium ion components together with the waste water under the flow by shorting the electrodes or reverse connecting a DC power source and a third stage of subjecting the waste water from which the calcium ions are removed to a biological treatment in the fixed bed type biological treatment apparatus.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and inexpensive waste water recovery treatment method for recovering calcium in treated water in high concentration and reuti lizing it, and also obtaining desalted water with high quality water, in the method by adding an excessive calcium source to the waste water incorporating fluoride ions and removing fluoride ions from the waste water as calcium salt. SOLUTION: This treating method comprises a first process for adding the calcium source to the waste water and removing fluoride ions as calcium salt, and a second process by which the waste water removed fluoride ions by the first process is fed to a water passing type condenser, and a direct current is applied to a pair of electrodes 30, 31 to remove ion components from the waste water in the passing water, and obtain the waste water low in calcium ion concentration, and later a pair of the electrodes one short-circuited or are inversely connected to recover the removed calcium ion component together with the passing waste water or together with the water for recovery. At least one portion of the calcium concentrated liquid obtained by the second process is returned to the front stage of the first stage.
