    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flow velocity measuring method capable of precisely correcting the measured propagation time of ultrasonic waves and therefore performing a precise flow velocity measurement. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic flow velocity measuring method comprises measuring the propagation times of normal directional and reverse directional ultrasonic waves two or more times, and measuring the flow velocity on the basis of the difference in propagation time between these ultrasonic waves. The measuring interval It of propagation time of ultrasonic wave is adjusted in proportion to propagation times t0j and t0g of ultrasonic waves in the previous measurement, and the propagation time errors (kj×Δtj) and (kg×Δtg) of ultrasonic waves generated from the limitation of clock period of the timer of a CPU are determined. The propagation time errors (kj×Δtj) and (kg×Δtg) are further subtracted from the measurement values tj and tg of propagation time of ultrasonic waves.
