      SOLUTION: The method for driving a plasma display panel includes: a stage of finding the number of arithmetic sustaining pulses consisting of an integer part and a decimal part by calculating the numbers of sustaining pulses in respective subfields from the number of sustaining pulses per frame in a current frame (N) with respective gradation weighted values; a stage of finding the numbers of adjustment sustaining pulses in respective subfields consisting of integer parts and decimal parts by adding the number of arithmetic sustaining pulses in the current frame to the decimal part of the number of sustaining pulses in a subfield having the same gradation weighted value in the previous frame (N-1); and a stage of finding the number of applied sustaining pulses in respective subfields to be applied to Y electrode lines and X electrode lines respectively from the integer part of the number of adjustment sustaining pulses in the current frame (N).
