摘要： PURPOSE:To partially erase an electrostatic latent image formed on a photoreceptor drum, to remove an unnecessary image formed on the periphery of an image area and to restrain the undesired consumption of toner by lighting LEDs whose lighting position can be optionally changed in a previously decided area by inputting the size of an original. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic charging width controller 12 includes plural light shielding cells 12a extended in a direction orthgonally crossed with the axial direction of the photoreceptor drum 10 and the erasing LEDs 12b inserted one by one in the respective light shielding cells 12a. The respective erasing LEDs 12b are optionally lighted in accordance with paper size data stored in a ROM. When a frame erasing key is operated, the previously decided erasing LED 12b is lighted in order to erase the image formed on the periphery of the paper by specified width in accordance with the size of paper detected by a size detection switch. A position detection circuit 130 respectively detects the position of the image on the drum 10 and the position of the paper separated from a timing roller.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a projected toner image on the edge parts of an image, caused by the insufficiency of the charge elimination of the surface of a photosensitive body corresponding to a partition on a blank exposure edge part where a light quantity is changed at the time of turning on and turning off a light emitting element. CONSTITUTION:A slit 4a exists between LED lamps 2 and the partition part 5a of a shutter member 5 supported by a shaft 6 freely goes in and out at the slit 4a. At the time of turning on a solenoid 8, the partition part 5a enters the slit 4a to regulate the illuminating range of the LED lamp 2. At the time of turning off the solenoid 8, the partition part 5a is at the location as shown by the figure by the force of a tension spring 7, to release the illumination range of the LED lamp 2. The partition part 5a is set at the location shown by the figure just before the LED lamp 2 is turned on or turned off on the boundary of the blank exposure, so that the boundary line of the blank exposure becomes a straight line and the projected toner image is eliminated.
