This filter material 9 is arranged on the downstream side of a charge part 4 consisting of a discharge electrode 4a and a counter electrode 4b. As a result, high dust removing efficiency can be obtained in spite of low pressure loss and cost is low and maintenance becomes easy.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance safety of an air cleaner by arranging a conductive member to the inner wall near to a joined part of the main bodies fitting a discharge electrode and connecting both the conductive member and the discharge electrode at continuity. CONSTITUTION:A discharge part consisting of both a discharge electrode 14 performing corona discharge and a discharge counter electrode 12 is internally provided to the upstream side of an air flow path incorporated in the main bodies 2, 3 made of a nonconductive member such as synthetic resin. Further a filter 4 for collecting dust charged by the discharge part is internally provided to the downstream side of this discharge part. Furthermore a conductive member 51 is provided to the inner wall near to the joined part 22 of main bodies 2, 3 fitting the discharge electrode 14. This conductive member 51 and the discharge counter electrode 12 are connected at continuity by a lead wire 32. Thereby the safety of an air cleaner is enhanced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the surface of a wall on which an air purifier and its surroundings from being contaminated by providing a metal plate between the rear of the main unit and the surface of the wall within the area equal to 85 to 115% of the rear surface of the main unit and forming holes on the periphery of the metal plate, in the wall mounting-type air purifier with an ionization device. CONSTITUTION:The main unit of an air purifier with an ionization device is installed leaving a space 6 to 8cm or less between the main unit and a wall surface. The air purifier has a metal plate 33 between the rear of the main unit 20 and the wall surface within an area equal to 85 to 115% of the rear surface(rear box)20 of the main unit. In addition, holes 37 are formed on the periphery of the metal plate 33. Consequently, contaminant particles generated from the rear box 20 which is magnetized are attracted to the metal plate 33. In this case, the wall surface located at the rear 20 of the main unit is protected against contamination because the attraction effect of the metal plate 33 is not excessively strong or weak. Furthermore, the attraction effect of the metal plate 33 on the periphery, i.e., the boundary of contamination of the metal plate 33 is diffused and subsequently reduced. This results in the fading of the boundary of contamination and the subsequent elimination of a generated boundary.
