    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify maintenance work of a seal device for sealing a fixed portion and a rotating portion, and to reduce maintenance costs in a rotary kiln having an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder as a furnace body.
      SOLUTION: In this rotary kiln comprising the seal devices 6, 7, 22, 23 disposed between a furnace main body 3 rotated and driven, heating a treated object charged from an inlet 18 while moving the same to an outlet side, and discharging the treated object from an outlet, and a fixed portion adjacent to the furnace main body, the seal devices respectively have a rotating plate disposed in the rotating portion on a furnace main body side, a seal flange disposed in the fixed portion adjacent to the rotating portion through bellows, and a lantern ring disposed on the seal flange and circumferentially divided as required. The lantern ring is constituted to be pressed to the rotating plate by the bellows, and to supply a lubricant to a sliding face of the lantern ring.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably produce high quality power material while achieving a high degree of vacuum without causing a cost increase of a device and the degradation of handling property.
      SOLUTION: The vacuum heating rotary furnace 10 comprises a body 11 which is supported rotatably around its axis O and in which the powder material is filled, a heating means 12 for heating the inside of the body 11, and an evacuating means 15 for exhausting air from the body 11 to make a vacuum condition. Heat treatment is given to the powder material filled in the body 11 in vacuum while rotating the body 11 around its axis O. The evacuating means 15 is connected directly to the body 11 at its outside. It is rotated in association with the body 11 when the body rotates around its axis O.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict the friction resistance of a seal surface small even if an outer cylinder is largely elongated in the axial direction by the heat.

An inside coil spring 36b arranged inside the tube body 35 is interposed between an end surface plate 34 provided in the other end of the tube body 35 and the spring receiver plate 24, and a double-stage coil spring structure is thereby formed.
